Chapter 29 - Dimensional Danger

I sit up, breathing heavily as the burning pain still remained, but I wasn't cracked anymore. I stand up and look at my surroundings. Everything is white but behind me is Axel and in front of me is the grassy plains with forests to the left and right.

???: "(Y/N)!"

I turn around to see my party, safe and sound. I run up to them and give them a group hug which they accept immediately.

"Holy shit, guys! I thought you were all done for!"

I look between them all and smile. We depart from the hug and look around.

Kazuma: "Where are we?"

"I'm not sure."

Darkness: "This is Abstract's dimension. Who knows what kind of things she could do."

"Mm. Also, thanks for saving me Darkness. Even though I got here not long after."

Darkness: "Don't worry about it. Remember what I said when we first met? 'Use me as a shield if need be'!"

"Yeah but...Eh, whatever."

???: "Hey, yo!"

We all turn and see Abstract, floating a few meters off the ground. We all line up and get into a fighting stance.

Abstract: "Welcome! To my personal dimension! Here, you wil—"

I fire a lightning bolt at her which shocks her a bit.

Abstract: "Hey! I was talking!"

I poke my tongue out at her.

Abstract: "Don't you think you're being a little disrespectful? Remember, I'm literally a God here."

"And you literally kidnapped my best friend. So FUCK you! Where even is he, anyway?!"

Abstract: "I assume you saw the flashes of me sending him here?"

"Yeah, why?!"

Abstract pointed towards Axel.

Abstract: "In Axel. Let's play a game of hide and seek. Shall we? You don't have long."

Abstract disappears as a huge timer appears in the white sky, counting down from thirty minutes.

YunYun: "Well this was unexpected."

Aqua: "Well let's hurry!"

We nod and run into Axel. We split up to find him faster. My first place to look was the guild. I searched it thoroughly but I couldn't find him. I begin searching through most of the houses around the middle of Axel, but once again, I couldn't find him.

I've spent the last twenty seven minutes searching through Axel.

What about the mansion?! Why didn't I think of that earlier! But she did say he was in Axel...Unless that was to throw us off!!

I activate Lightning Feet seeing as how Abstract was restricting Volt somehow. I arrive at the mansion and my first thought was to check (BF/N)'s room. I sprint up the stairs and bust the door open. There he is, sitting on his bed, swinging his legs up in the air as light through the window shines onto him.

He turns his head, facing me.

(BF/N): "Oh, hey (Y/N)! Took you long enough."

I don't even have any words for how happy I am. He stands up from his bed.

"I-Is it really you...?"

(BF/N): "Pfft. Of course! If it wasn't me, then how would I know that exactly two years and five months when you accidentally mistook—"
