Chapter 9 - Unfortunate Familiar Face

We arrived back at the mansion after watching YunYun using her magic against some toads. It was pretty impressive. I have to ask sometime if she could teach me some of those skills. The whole walk home, I felt as if we were being watched. To be honest, I don't know how I knew someone was but that's a cool thing I have I guess.

"Hey YunYun, do you think you could teach me some of your spells sometime? They were pretty impressive!"

She looked a bit embarrassed and Megumin glared at me.

YunYun: "H-Huh? Oh. Yeah of course!"

"Awesome!"

It was now around mid-day and we were all sitting in the living room, visibly bored.

"...So what now?"

Kazuma shrugged.

Kazuma: "No clue."

There was suddenly a knock on the door.

Kazuma: "I'll get it."

Kazuma stood up and went over to the door and opened it. I couldn't see who it was from where I was sitting. Kazuma then looked over towards me.

Kazuma: "Uh. They're here for you."

"Hm? Who is it?"

I jump over the couch and walk over to him. I look out the door to see who it is...It was someone I never wanted to see here...

"(B-BF/N)?"

(BF/N): "H-Hey (Y/N)..."

"Oh my gosh! I'm so glad to see-"

As I was about to hug him, I stopped. Realising he would've died to get here. But how...

I looked towards Kazuma.

"Please excuse us for a minute..."

I push (BF/N) outside and slam the door shut and stare at him.

"What are you doing here?!"

(BF/N): What do you mean?"

"I mean what are you doing in this world?!"

(BF/N) recoiled back a bit at my yelling.

(BF/N): "Why are you so mad?"

"What did you do to get here..."

He now got what I meant and looked at the ground.

(Insert your best friends cause of death.)

I cut him off and hugged him.

"I'm sorry for getting mad..."

He started to cry into my shoulder hugging back. I started to rub his hair.

"It's okay...it's okay, I'm here. I won't ever leave you...well I won't again since I sorta did when I died."

I pull away from the hug and wipe his tears.

"Trust me. Your life will become so much better in this world!"

(BF/N): "W-Why's that?"

"Well for starters. You met Eris, right?"

(BF/N) nodded his head.

"Okay and she explained what this world is with monsters and spells and stuff, right?"

He nodded again.

"Okay great. Well your life is gonna be better cause it's actually really fun to fight monsters and use spells. I've learned a couple. Oh wait! What was the one thing that you asked to be brought into this world?"
