Dr Shumur had already been in his office, Mrs White was worried about her two year old, Penny, she'd had a cough all night.

I felt so much better knowing I wasn't the one to drag him in to his office on his day off.

He listened and took notes while I told him about my headaches and the nose bleeds.

I was more than prepared to leave out the nightmares and things I'd been seeing but Tom wasn't going to let me off the hook and jumped in and told Dr Shumur.

He didn't say what the nightmares were about, of course.

"I'd like to take some blood, run some tests but I'm not worried Lily. From what you've said the headaches and these nose bleeds started after the dreams, which seems like you're suffering with lack of sleep which is leading exhaustion. I'm going to prescribe you something to help you sleep, we should have the results back by Thursday, so I want you to come back in. We'll see what the results say, and by then we'll know if the pills work." He smiled reassuringly at me.

I felt Tom relax next to me, his hand loosened in mine which I was grateful for, he'd been close to cutting off circulation.

Dr Shumur took my blood and reassured me a few more times that everything should be fine.

I felt a lot better, and the thought of the nightmares going away had me almost excited.

"I'm hot." Tom's voice pulled me out of my day dreaming, I turned around from the pharmacy counter to see him wearing a bright pink cowboy hat and the most nineties 'cool guy' sunglasses I'd ever seen.

You know the ones like Neo wears in The Matrix but thick with flames on the frames.

Why were drug stores like that? Why did they sell so much useless junk nobody ever needed?

I burst out laughing, so much that I had to grab my stomach.

"What, you don't think I'm hot anymore?" He smirked at me, clearly trying to stop himself laughing.

He walked towards me, standing close, making me lean back on the counter.

He took the hat off his head, his hair going wild, and placed it on my head.

He slid the sunglasses up on top of his head, using them as a headband.

I held the hat on my head as I looked up into his beautiful green eyes.

It was nice to see the worry had left them. "Oh no, you're still hot." I beamed.

Before he could reply, we were interrupted by the sound of Henny Shore coughing.

I straightened up, pulling the hat from my head as I did.

Tom took an unconscious step away from me.

She looked between us for a few seconds, a scowl taking over her beautiful features before she all but shoved between us and slapped her prescription down on the counter.

"So what, are you two like, together now?" She asked, flicking her shoulder length caramel hair over her shoulder and tapping her bright pink nails impatiently on the counter.

She definitely didn't belong in a small town like Eastrose, she was more suited for somewhere like LA or New York.

I'd hated Henny from the moment I'd met her, and at first I'd had no idea she was a bitch, I'd hated her because the first time I saw her, she was coming out of Tom's room, wearing nothing but his t-shirt.
