"What?" I looked around, trying to find the source of his panic. I made eye contact with Jade and her eyes got wide and she jumped up from the chair.

"Your nose is bleeding pretty bad." She said, her voice laced with worry.

Shit. I normally had a headache before getting a nose bleed or I could feel it.

I instinctively used the back of my hand to try and stop it, Andrew nudged my hand out the way and held some kitchen towels to my nose.

I looked down at my hand and it was a lot of blood, more than usual.

I frowned.

"Do you feel ok? Are you dizzy?" Jade asked, her hands on my knees.

"Guys it's ok, I'm fine, I feel fine." I smiled but the towels covered it.

I grabbed them from Drew and pointed to the stew, "Don't let it burn."

He sighed and rolled his eyes, but did turn the stove off. No need to ruin dinner just because I was bleeding.

"Do we need the emergency room? Or we could call Dr Shumur ask him to go to his office?" Jade looked over at Andrew, like I wasn't there.

"We definitely don't need any of those options Jade, I'm ok!" I exclaimed, hoping it would stop soon.

Before we could say anything else, we heard Tom stumble in, literally stumble because it sounded like Sky had gotten under his feet.

"Oh jeez Sky, really?" He grumbled at her and as he pushed the kitchen door out his way, I was right, she was dancing around his feet, wanting attention.

As he glanced up from Sky at his feet his face lost the smile pretty quick.

"Shit, again?" He asked without thinking.

"What do you mean again?" Jade questioned, I could hear the shock.

Tom grabbed my hand, he looked sorry.

"It's nothing." I said quickly, I warned Tom with my eyes not to say anything.

I looked at Jade and Andrew and they were looking at each other with worried expressions.

I sighed and jumped down from the counter, dropping Tom's hand and moving around them all, I was through the door and up the stairs before anyone could say anything else.

I ducked into the bathroom, quickly looking in the mirror.

I moved the towels away from my face, it had already stopped, just as quick as it came on again.

I threw the towels in the toilet, flushing.

I cleaned up my face and took a deep breath.

I did feel fine, no sign of the usual accompanying headache or anything else unusual.

I sighed and turn to lean against the counter.

I didn't want to face Jade and Andrew yet.

I knew I couldn't keep lying to them, but I also couldn't tell them everything, especially Jade.

Before I could think it through anymore, there was a knock at the door.

I knew it would be Tom, ready to make a big deal.

When I didn't respond straight away he opened the door anyway.

"I could have been peeing you know." I mumbled as he walked in, his face set in a worried frown.
