Chapter Twenty Six

The next morning I wake up on the floor whilst Simon is sprawled on the sofa. Extremely groggily I make my way back upstairs and into my room. Shower. A shower seems like a good idea... and probably a cup of coffee after that. My head was killing for some reason.

After the longest humanly possible shower, I decided to make a call.

"Sup bitch? Ah, it feels good to be able to swear," Jenny said in an overly chirpy tone.

"Why didn't you tell me?" There was silence on the other end.

"Simon? I told him not to tell you yet."

"Do you even know what state he is in right now?" I ask raising my voice slightly.

"Look Charlie, I can explain..."

"I don't need or want an explanation, I get it, it's a big break, you can finally be the fashion designer you've always dreamed of being. But just bear in mind that you have responsibilities to other people too. Not just yourself." I say whilst trying to pick out an outfit for today. Yeah, I was having a serious conversation. So? I can multitask. That proved wrong when my phone slipped from in between my shoulder and my ear.

When I finally picked my phone up again I heard Jenny sigh, "You going out today?"

"Yes..."

"Then... Wear that red/maroon top I gave you for Christmas last year and a black pair of skinny jeans. And if you really can't resist, the black fluffy hoodie." I smirked at how well she knew me. I picked out the clothes and then sat cross legged on my bed.

"Look Jen, I love you, and I know this could be big for you. And trust me, I'm happy for you. But make sure you consider everything before making a decision. Don't make the same impulsive decision you made after uni,"

"I won't. Enough about me, how's Cece holding up? You told her yet?"

"I did. And she likes him... I can see it. He's a nice guy Jen."

"Sounds it." Then she paused for a second. "And..."

"And?"

"Cameron Fraser's getting married?" How did everyone know this before me? Oh yeah because everyone watched slash read the news. Minus me.

"Yeah." I tried to sound positive about it.

"And you're okay with this?" She asked slowly and cautiously.

"Why wouldn't I be?"

"Oh my fucking god Charlie! How can you be so oblivious towards your own feelings! You like him, it's plain obvious as day... I mean you sounded like a wounded chicken when I bought it up. You know what? Let's do a test. Go downstairs. Turn the TV on to BBC News and if your reaction is calm and unbothered, you're right. You don't have feelings for Cameron."
