Chapter Twenty Nine:

*Charlie's POV*

"Hi sweetie!" I scream whilst running up to Cece and picking her up into my arms. Instantly she starts giggling.

"Put me down, put me down!" she shrieks. "Charlie! I'm a big girl now, put me down!" I laugh.

"Yeah that's quite true actually... But I'll put you down on one condition."

"And that is?" she asks. I give her a look and then tap my cheek. She gets what I'm implying and huffs. But kisses my cheek anyway. Then I place her gently down onto the floor.

"Where's Oscar?"

"In my room, he's packing my stuff because I was too lazy to do it." Cece laughs sheepishly. I roll my eyes at her but then gulp. After last night I hadn't exactly spoken to Oscar. Well apart from his apology text messages. And there were... You could say a lot of them. Just around 113... All saying virtually the same thing.

"Weren't you meant to come later?" Cece asks.

"Yeah..." Suddenly scenes of what happened in the office flashed in front of my eyes. "Fraser let me go early..."

"Cam-Cam? Does he know that I'm leaving today? Is he also going to come? Please say he is! I don't want to leave without saying bye to Cam-Cam. Please Charlie. Please!" Cece begs whilst putting both her hands together. I squeeze my eyes shut. I couldn't call him over. I couldn't face him again.

"Look Cece-"

Cece sniffs, "Firstly you're sending me away from you, and now you want even let me say bye to everyone... This is so unfair." Cece starts sobbing. Shit. Shit. Shit.

"Hey, hey baby, don't cry. You're a big girl na? Yeah, then give me a big smile. Please?" Cece doesn't stop crying. "Okay, okay. Look I'm getting out my phone." I take out my phone from my jean pocket. "Look I'm calling him." I say whilst looking for him in my contacts. I almost laugh at what I've saved him as. Mr Unresponsive. It's so childish. "Do you want to talk to him?" Cece hiccups and shakes her head.

"Charlie." I felt like everything around me froze. The sounds of Cece's little hiccups faded away. The sound of Oscar dragging stuff around upstairs died out. The sound of my heart seemed to block out everything else. "Charlie." I shake my head and snap of the trance I had managed to land myself in.

Then I forced myself to remember the interview on the TV and what happened earlier in the office. Fraser was just playing me. I couldn't feel anything for him. I shouldn't feel anything for him. But that didn't mean I could forget all the favours he did for me. Like Cece... And he had the right to be here.

"Cece wants you here." with that I hang up. Shit man. I didn't even explain why. He probably didn't know that she was leaving. Why did I have to let my feelings get the better of me?

I look away from Cece and get my emotions in tack before plastering a smile on my face.

"There, is my drama queen happy now?" Cece gives me a cheeky smile.

"Of course." I laugh and ruffle her hair.

"I have a present for you by the way... But because you like torturing me, I'm not going to be giving it to you till later on.

Out of nowhere the doorbell rang. Huh. If that was Mr Unresponsive then he's fucking fast. It's literally been 30 seconds. I go and open the door and to say I'm stunned would be an understatement.

"Jen?!"

"Surprise!!!" she screams and attack hugs me making me almost fall backwards.

"What? How?!" I scream.
