- Three days later -

Peter tightened his grip on his brother, who was curled up in his arms, buried under blankets and fast asleep. With a sigh Peter glanced out of the window at the slowly setting sun, causing him to squint a little.
The last three days had been, in Edmund's words... extremely boring. Peter though still didn't think he was strong enough to get out of bed, and stuck by what he said when he told Edmund that he wasn't to get out of bed.
But by now Edmund was feeling alot better, and kept asking if he was aloud up. Peter had said earlier that he should give it till tomorrow, just to be on the safe side... much to Edmund's frustration. In the end though he'd fallen asleep, face buried against Peter's shoulder and an arm around his waist, stopping him from getting up without waking him.
Peter had been laying in this position for atleast two hours, and to say he was getting uncomfortable would be an understatement. Therefore he was extremely relieved when Edmund groaned and his eyes flickered open.
"Ed can I move?" Peter said with a small smile.
Edmund frowned and glanced up at him. "What?" He mumbled.
Peter chuckled. "Laying like this is extremely uncomfortable." He said.
Edmund nodded a little and rolled away from his brother, stretching a little, and sighed when pain shot down his back.
"Thanks." Peter said, slowly sitting up before turning to his brother.
"How long have I been asleep?" Edmund asked, sitting up too.
"Two hours, or so?" Peter said, shrugging.
"Susan and Lucy gone to bed?" Edmund mumbled.
Peter shook his head. "It's only about six o'clock Ed." He said.
Edmund frowned. "Oh." He said quietly, nodding his head a little. And then he pulled the blankets off of him and swung his legs over the side of the bed.
"What are you doing?" Peter asked quickly, grabbing Edmund's shoulder.
Edmund sighed. "I have to get up!" He exclaimed. "I've been stuck in bed for a week!"
Peter stared at his brother, hesitating. "Ed I'm not sure." He mumbled.
"Peter I'm fine." Edmund groaned. "I feel fine." And then as if to prove a point, before Peter could stop him, he quickly stood up.
Peter dove to catch him the minute his legs gave way, wrapping his arms around his waist as quickly as he could.
Edmund swallowed hard, pulling himself back to his feet, blushing.
"Fine are we?" Peter said, trying his hardest to hide his smirk.
"Shut up." Edmund grumbled, burying his face against Peter's chest.
Peter chuckled, keeping his arm around Edmund as he led him out onto the balcony.
Edmund smiled a little as he stepped outside. "Finaly." He whispered, causing Peter to laugh. "Glad to be up?" He said.
"Too right." Edmund muttered as he leant against the railing.
Peter smiled a little, keeping his arm around his brother just incase.
All of a sudden though Edmund's eyes went wide. "Tell me you got her wand." He said quickly, head snapping up to look at his brother, nothing but panick in his voice.
Peter placed a hand firmly on his shoulder. "Susan got the wand Ed." He said quickly. "It's okay."
Edmund stared at Peter for a moment before nodding, resting his head against his shoulder.
Peter pulled him close, kissing the top of his head before he heard the bedroom door open.
"Peter?" Came Susan's whisper.
"Out here." Peter replied, pulling away from Edmund but keeping one arm around his waist so he didn't fall over.
Susan smiled as she walked across the room and out onto the balcony. "Ed." She smiled. "Finaly up?"
Edmund smirked. "Finaly." He said, glancing at Peter, who shook his head in an amused way.
"Just came to say that all the preparations are finished." Susan said, looking up at Peter.
Peter smiled. "Great." He said.
Edmund frowned. "Preparations for what?" He said.
Susan rolled her eyes playfully. "Your birthday silly." She laughed, reaching out to ruffle Edmund's hair.
Edmund made a noise of protest and ducked out of the way, although he was trying to keep back his smile.
"Didn't Peter tell you that once you got your strength back we were going to throw you the best birthday party ever?" Susan said.
Edmund nodded. "I think I remember him saying that yeah." He said, a small smile now on his face.
Susan nodded back. "Well everythings ready when you are." She said.
Peter smiled. "We'll leave it for another few days atleast." He said, and before Edmund could say anything added: "The healer said to take it easy, so that's what you're gonna do."
Edmund sighed but didn't argue, thinking he'd already pushed it far enough with getting out of bed before Peter wanted him to.
"I also came to tell you that dinner is ready." Susan said quickly, as though just remembering.
Peter nodded. "Hungry Ed?" He said.
Edmund nodded. "Yeah." He breathed.
Susan smiled. "Come on then." She said, leading the way off the balcony. "Lucy's already down there and boy will she be pleased to see you."
Edmund let out a small laugh and went to grab his clothes from where they hung up on the wardrobe, but Peter stopped him. "Just throw a cloak across your shoulders." He said with a smile. "You don't need to get changed."
Edmund hesitated but grabbed his cloak, Peter helping wrap it around his shoulders. "Thanks." Edmund mumbled.
"Come on then." Susan said as the three headed for the dining room.
Once there Peter opened the door and led a - by the sounds of it - very out of breath Edmund to the nearest chair.
"Edmund!" Lucy exclaimed from where she was already sat at the table. "You're up."
Edmund smiled, trying to catch his breath. "Uh uh." He managed to reply as Peter literally pushed him into a chair.
"Are you okay?" Lucy said, the happiness in her voice fading as Peter and Susan took their seats.
Edmund took a deep breath before smiling up at his sister. "Never been better." He said. "I'm alive, The witch is dead, and I'm with you three. I couldn't ask for anything more."
