"I'm going out for a run! I'll be back soon!" I told my family as I was about to walk out the door.
"Be careful!" I heard my dad yell before I closed the door. I put in my earbuds and blasted music through them, then began to jog through the neighborhood before running. Soon, I got to Beacon Hills Preserve and ran through the woods, loving the feeling of the wind blowing up again my face.
I absolutely love running, especially when I can go alone and just be around nature. The forest can be so beautiful during the day while something sinister lurks through it during the night.
I soon came upon a burned house, that was somehow still standing a bit. But it didn't look like it was livable. I stayed behind a tree as I saw Scott coming out of the house. I began to follow behind him and I guess he heard me because he began to look around.
"Hello? Who's out there? Derek?" Scott said, looking around.
I then finally decided to make myself known. "So that's his name? Good thing I can finally put a name towards the beta that saved you the other day."
He looked at me and let out a growl. "What do you want?"
"Nothing in particular. I just want to help you, okay?" I said, crossing my arms.
"Help? You want to help?" He got off his back and approached me. "You were there that night. You're one of them! You were trying to kill me!"
"Yes, I was there that night, but I wasn't trying to kill you. I was trying to stop them. I refuse to hurt someone whose innocent. Like you, for example. A newly turned wolf who's getting guidance from someone named Derek, another beta." I said.
"Then what do you want? Why do you want to help me?" He asked me.
"I'm giving you a warning, Scott. My dad and the others will stop at nothing until the alpha is found. And if it means using the two betas to get to him then so be it. I'm trying to help you because I know what it feels like to be hunted." I told him honestly. And it's true, I do know what it's like to be hunted just because of what you are.
"What do you mean you know what it's like to be hunted?" He asked me.
"Not everything is what seems, Scott." I said. "Give me your phone. I'll give you my number in case you need to contact me. I want to help you, Scott. If my dad ever found out then he will be so angry because I didn't tell him who the betas are."
He handed me his phone and I punched in my number before giving it back to him. "Contact me when you need to. Be careful, Scott."
He nodded at me and I turned around to leave the woods to go home. I just hope he heeds my warning. I just don't want him to die because he's innocent in all of this, but also because my sister is falling in love with him.

I hummed along to the music playing from my radio as I drew something new in my sketchbook. I kept drawing until I felt this random breeze in my room, turning to see that my window was wide open.
Putting down my sketchbook, I got up, walking over to it slowly, looking out my window to see absolutely nothing. When I was just about to shut it I suddenly felt something creeping up behind me. Quickly turned around, I put my ring dagger up to their throat.
The one who invaded my room was a man who looked to be in his twenties. He had black hair and nice green eyes. This must be Derek.
"Let me guess, you must Derek. The beta who's helping Scott, right?" I summed up. He just stared at me. "Do you realize how dumb you are for invading a hunters home? Especially coming into his fourteen-year-old daughters room? You must really have a death wish."
