"For Lydia." My sister mumbled under her breath when we arrived at Lydia's party, which was practically dead.
"I'm guessing Lydia's parties aren't usually like this?" I asked Jocelyn, and she shook her head.
"Not even close." She said, and I mumbled an okay. I watched as Stiles came bounding up the driveway with a ginormous present in his hands for Lydia.
"Happy birthday!" He said to her with a smile, and she looked at him like he was insane because of the size of the present. He tried to stuff the present inside but kept failing, asking her for some help.
"Don't forget to try the punch!" She yelled, walking away from him and I snickered at the look on his face.
Poor Stiles.
-
"Hey!" Jocelyn and I said when we saw Scott and Stiles by the punch.
"Uh, Jackson's not here." My sister said to them.
"No one's here." Firass said, coming over to us.
"Maybe it's just early." Scott suggested.
"Or maybe nobody's coming because Lydia's become the town wack job." Jocelyn piped up, and honestly she wasn't wrong.
"Well, we have to do something, because we've completely ignored her for the past two weeks." Allison said, wanting to make it up to her best friend.
"She's completely ignored Stiles the past ten years." Scott says, and I give him a look.
"I prefer to think of it as me not having been on her radar yet." Stiles piped up, and I rolled my eyes.
"We don't owe her a party."
"What about the chance to get back to normal?" She asked.
"Normal?" Scott repeated.
"She wouldn't be the town wack job if it weren't for you guys." Firass said, and Allison agreed with him.
Scott sighed. "I guess I could use my co-captain status to get the lacrosse team here."
"I can get the basketball team here." Firass added, taking out his phone.
"Yeah, I also know some people who can get this thing going." Stiles said, and we looked at him suspiciously. "Like, really going."
"Who?" Jocelyn asked him.
"I met them the other night. Let's just say they know how to party."
-
Not even an hour later this party was full of people and music was blasting. I sipped on the drink Lydia gave me, wondering what was in it because it's really good.
"I can't believe the people he invited are people he met at a gay club." Jocelyn yelled over the loud music, and I agreed.
"I know! Scott told me how they were all over him, it was funny. But it was also very weird." I told her, bringing my glass up to my mouth and drinking what was left in it.
"I'm gonna go get another drink. Be right back!" I said to Jocelyn.
"Okay! Let loose, Casey! You deserve it!" She yelled back, and I chuckled at her, shaking my head.
I walk over to the table that was holding glasses that were filled with punch, and I grabbed one. I take a sip of it and turn to go back to Jocelyn when suddenly Matt's in front of me.
Oh, hell.
"Casey!" I turn and see Scott calling me over. Allison told him and Stiles what happened, and they were not happy.
