"What the hell?!" I yelled, barging into my dads study like I owned the place. "You tied her up!"

"Casey, that's how we taught you." My dad said calmly.

"No, you warned me before it would happen. She didn't get that." I pointed out.

"She's older than you were. You were seven when we did that, Casey. Your training was very different from your sisters." He said, and I glared at him.

"Why does it have to be different?"

Dad looks at me with a straight face and says, "You know exactly why, Casey. She's not like you."

"Oh, don't I know that." I said angrily. "She also told me what you said about Isaac."

"It must be done. The next time we see him, we will kill him." He stated.

I slammed my hand on his desk. "Like hell you will."

My dad got up and looked at me. "Don't talk to me like that young lady. I'm the parent, you're the child."

"Says the parent who's ready to murder another child." I said, and he didn't say anything because he knew that I was right. "Isaac didn't kill anyone, and I am not going to let you kill an innocent."

"What are you going to do? Protect him?" He asked me.

"Yeah, I will. Because no one deserves to die. We both know he's innocent, but you just follow Grandpa blindly because you're afraid of him." I said and he glared at me.

"Everything I do is to protect you and your sister."

"Well you're doing a great job at that, Dad!" I said sarcastically. "What do you think is gonna happen when he finds out? You know he won't hesitate or even blink an eye."

"He won't."

"And if he does? Then I'm dead, and all you've been doing will be for nothing." I tell him. "Leave Isaac alone or you'll have to deal with me."

I walk towards the door when he says, "You and what army?"

I look back at him and say, "My friends."

"You did what?" Jocelyn asked me as we made our way to the pool. "You actually threatened your father?"

"I didn't threaten him. I just told him to back off of Isaac or else he'll have to deal with me." I said, not seeing the problem with it.

"That sounds a lot like threatening him." She pointed out, and I shrugged.

"You can't blame me for wanting to protect Isaac. He's innocent." I said.

"And cute." She added and I look her. "What? He is." I chuckled at her in amusement.

"Hey, are you and your brother coming to the ice rink tonight?" I ask her.

"Definitely. I wanna see him fall on his ass." She joked, and I laughed.

"Rose! Argent! Less talking and more swimming!" Coach Porter yelled.

"Got it, Coach!" I yelled back, and he just waved me off in annoyance. Coach Porter isn't really a fan of kids, and it makes me wonder why he became a gym teacher in the first place.

"Wanna race?" Jocelyn asked me and I smirked at her.

"If you feel like losing." I told her, going to the edge of the pool.

"Oh, bring it on, Argent." She challenged me.

"Sure will, Rose." I said, and on the count of three we both dived into the pool, trying to slow each other down.
