"Casey, where are you going?" My sister asked me when I was about to walk into a different direction.
"I'm just going into the locker room, Alli. I'll be fine." I assured her, but she didn't look too convinced. "You don't need to worry."
"I'm your sister, it's my job." She replied.
"Well I'll be fine. Scouts honor." I said, and she chuckled. I walked away from her and went into the girls' locker room, going straight for the sinks. I was lucky that no one was in here or else they'd be wondering what I was doing exactly.
Turning on the sink, I put my hand under the running water, watching as it traveled up my hand, encasing my wrist to heal the bruises.
"Always works." I muttered, turning off the water and drying my wrist with some paper towels.
I suddenly heard the door open and I assumed that it was Allison.
"Alli, I told you that I'd be fine." I turned around and gasped when I saw who it was. "Isaac."
"Princess," he grins, stalking towards me. I backed away from him up until I hit the wall. He put his hands on either side of me, closing me in, so I had nowhere to go.
"Let me go, Isaac." I said, but he didn't listen.
"I think you owe me an explanation." He said lowly, even though we were in the only ones in here. "So what are you?"
I sighed. "I'm an elemental. They call me the silver-eyed elemental because I can control all the elements, and I'm the only one that exists. If word gets out that I exist then hunters will come after me, and they won't stop until I'm dead."
Isaac clicked his tongue and said, "Is Allison one? An elemental, I mean."
I shook my head. "No. It's me. It's just me." I hated that I was the only one in my family who had these powers, and I can't even talk to them about it. I mean, I can, but they don't understand. They don't get it. They can't answer the numerous questions that I have swarming in my head almost every day. I want to know why I'm the only one who has these powers.
What makes me so special?
"Were you bitten?" He asked me, wanting to know how I got my powers.
"Nope. I was told that elementals are born, not bitten." He gave me a weird look. "I know, a born elemental in a family full of hunters. I don't know why I'm the only one who has them, and the only person who can answer my questions is dead and my parents don't want me having anything to do with elementals to keep me safe." I fingered my necklace, wondering if I should tell him about that too before deciding against it. "Happy now?"
"Yeah," he nods. "Your powers are actually pretty cool. C-Can you show me?" He rubbed the back of his neck nervously, letting me go.
I smirk at him. "Sure." I wave my hand and a gust of wind sends Isaac flying into the wall. He groaned in pain from the impact while I smiled at him in amusement.
"Ow! What was that for?" He asked me, getting up from the floor and walking back over.
I gave him a look that said 'really', and he smiled at me sheepishly.
"Okay, I guess I deserved that." He muttered.
"I guess? More like you did." I said, and he just brushed me off, making me roll my eyes.
I felt my phone buzz and I grab it to see that I have a text from Allison wondering where I am.
"I have to go. My sister's looking for me." I quickly texted her back before putting my phone back in my pocket. I went to leave when Isaac stopped me.
