"I'm gonna go to bed early, so don't bother me!" I called to my family, going into my room, and placing my glass of water on my nightstand before walking over to my dresser to get some pajamas out. In the middle of me about to take my top off, I heard, "Casey."
I turned around to see Derek coming into my bedroom from my window and I glared at him.
"What the hell, Derek? You don't scare someone like that. Now what do you want?" I asked him, shutting my door and locking it so no one would come in.
"Training." He stated, not saying anything else as he walked towards my window. "Are you coming?"
"What do you mean by training?"
"We're training a bitten werewolf, Casey. He's gonna need some experience with hunters, and you're the only one who wants to help him and not kill him. So let's go. You told your parents you're going to bed, so there's no reason why you can't come." He said, not really giving me a choice in the matter.
"Fine. My bow is in the armory, so I'll bring my daggers. Hopefully, this baby beta can catch one before it gets him." I said, grabbing my daggers.
Derek went out my window, jumping off the roof. I climbed out of my window as well, leaving it open a bit so that I can get back in. I went to the ledge before jumping off, landing gracefully on my feet.
Derek just stared at me questioningly. "I took nine years of gymnastics. And also, I train." He just nodded, and we walked to his car, and we went off to wherever Scott was.
-
So Derek took us to a parking lot in which Scott was about to enter to go to his car with bags full of groceries in his hands.
A little while later Scott came in, holding his bags of groceries. He put them down, holding up the keys to his car to unlock it, but as it turns out, he went to the wrong floor. That's when a bottle rolled out of his bags, and he cursed, going after it, and it happened to go straight to us.
Derek took it in his hands, opening it a bit with his claws before rolling it back towards Scott, and that's when he started to get suspicious. Derek growled at him and that's when Scott bolted with Derek hot on his tail.
I immediately jumped into action, following after them, but staying in the shadows. Once I got close enough to Scott, I threw one of my daggers towards him, and at the last second, he dodged it before it could embed itself in his arm.
Not bad, I thought.
Scott kept running and that's when Derek and I lost him, but we knew he was still around. I picked up my dagger, making sure to stay quiet. That's when we heard a bunch of car alarms go off, making it hard for Derek to listen to Scott's heartbeat to find him.
"He's learning." I said when I heard his new tactic to get away.
"Not enough." Derek said, walking towards the car alarms. But that's when Scott made a mistake. His phone started going off, so Derek found him pretty easily. He grabbed him and pinned him down on the hood of a car.
"You're dead." He stated.
-
"What-What the hell was that?" Scott asked us angrily as we were walking out.
"Said I was gonna teach you. I didn't say when." Derek said.
"You scared the crap out of me. And you also didn't say that you were gonna bring Casey into this." He pointed to me.
