"I'm just stopping buy the movie store, Mason. I'll be at your house soon." I told him, getting off my bike.

"You know what movie you're getting right?" He asked me to make sure.

"Duh! Back to the Future. I'll grab it, pay for it, and then bike to your house. I promise. See you soon."

"See you soon, Case." He said before hanging up, so I could find the movie.

I looked through the shelves to find the movie that I was looking for and I smiled when I finally came across it.

"Can somebody help me find The Notebook." I heard Jackson say and I giggled.

"You know, I think that'd be in the romance section. Didn't know you were into that kind of stuff." I said, making myself known.

"I'm not, but Lydia's making me watch it. Can you just go away?" He said to me.

"Okay, rude. And don't you want help finding your movie?" I asked him and he shrugged. "That's what I thought. Let's go, Whittemore." I walked off, hearing him follow behind me. I walked into the direction of the romance section when suddenly I saw what looked like feet at the end of one of the aisles.

I kept walking towards it slowly, making myself aware of my surroundings. When I finally got towards that one aisle I started to freak out when I came face to face with a dead body. It was a worker and his throat was slashed and bloody.

"Jackson!" I said in fear, backing up a bit just to hit into him, and he put me behind him. I stumbled a bit and ended up bumping into the ladder and soon the lights went out.

"Hey, you okay?" He helped me up from the floor.

"Y-Yeah. I think." I stammered. "We should get out of here. It's not safe."

That's when we heard it. We both turned to the direction where we heard this growling. It was almost animalistic. We gasped when we saw red glowing eyes and Jackson pulled me down, hiding behind one of the shelves.

It's the alpha. This has to be the alpha.

Jackson leaned over to take a quick peek, and we heard the growling once more which made him pull his head back. We then heard this clattering, and soon the shelves were falling down one by one.

"Casey!" I didn't have time to think because I was immediately pushed out of the way and I turned around to see the shelf that we were hiding behind fall onto Jackson. "Go!"

I shook my head. "No. I'm not leaving you." I said, trying to raise the shelf to get it off him, but I was pushed down by a strong force, so I couldn't see anything but I could hear him freaking out.

I shrieked when I was pulled up, and came face to face with the eyes of a demon. I felt tears swell up in my eyes as the alpha trailed his claw down my cheek lightly. I shut my eyes tight in fear, not wanting to look at the monster before me. It let out a roar when it smelled me, scratching my stomach before throwing me to the ground and running out of there, breaking the glass just to hear another scream.

Lydia.

I looked down, seeing my blood beginning to stain my white shirt. Luckily, the scratches weren't that deep so it wouldn't leave scars and I wouldn't need stitches, but that doesn't mean it didn't hurt like a bitch.

"Casey? Casey!" I looked over to see my parents running towards me.

"Oh, my god! Are you okay?" Dad asked me as him and Mom checked me over.

"I'm fine." I said, wincing a bit from the scratches on my stomach that the paramedics already cleaned and wrapped up for me.

"Like hell you are, young lady." Mom scowled at me. "What happened?"

"Mom, Dad, he was here. The alpha was here." I told them and they both froze.

"The alpha did this?" Dad whispered. "I'm going to kill him myself."

"Please, don't ask me anymore. I don't wanna talk about it. I just want to go home. Please." I said, wiping the tears out of my eyes.

"Of course, but let's get you checked out one more time just to make sure, okay?" Dad said and I nodded.

"I'm sorry, but can I just take a minute of your time to talk to your daughter?" I heard someone say and I looked up to see man in a cop uniform wearing a sheriff's badge.

"Of course, Sheriff." My dad said. "We're right here, squirt." Dad rubbed my leg comfortingly.

"Hi, I'm Sheriff Stilinski. I'm going to need your name and an explanation about what occurred here tonight for the witness report." Sheriff Stilinski explained to me.

"My name is Casey. Casey Argent." I told him, and he looked shocked when he saw my face, almost like he recognized me or something. "Are you okay, sir?"

"Yes, I'm fine. Sorry." He said. "Um... you were saying?"

"Well, I was picking up a movie to watch before heading to my friends house, and that's when Jackson came in. I was helping him find a movie when we accidentally found the workers body in one of the aisles. I bumped into the ladder which made the lights go out. He helped me up, and we were hiding behind a shelf when they all started to come down. Jackson pushed me out of the way, so I wouldn't get hit, but he wasn't so lucky. I tried to help him, but we kept hearing this growling and I fell to the floor, that's when some animal attacked me, I guess, scratching my stomach, before running off." I explained to him, telling him all that I knew, but left out some parts, not going into depth about the alpha.

"Okay. Well, thank you, Casey, and I hope that you get better. Thank you for your time." He smiled at me.

"You're welcome." I mumbled, but he still heard it. He nodded before walking away.

My parents had me checked over one last time before taking me home. I felt tired, so I started to fall asleep in the car, not even realizing that we were home until the car stopped and my dad picked me up bridal style, carrying me into the house, and all the way into my room.

"I'll change her." I heard my mom say. "And she is not allowed to heal that wound with her abilities, everyone will get suspicious when they see her acting like she's fine, especially your sister."

"I know. Let's just keep her home tomorrow to rest. Mostly so she's not straining herself and being bombarded with a ton of questions at school tomorrow." Dad said, and that's the last I heard before letting sleep take me.
