"I'm not sure how long you'll be." Mom said, going through Allison's closet to pack some clothes for her.

Allison found out that Scott was a werewolf tonight because of my aunt and my dad, and she hasn't said anything to me since she's been home. She's just been blank. Dad's having Aunt Kate drive us both out of here to keep us safe, which I find so unfair!

"You want me to pick out anything specific?" Mom asked her. "Sweetheart?"

"I just saw my boyfriend turn into a werewolf." She said, completely in shock.

"All right." Mom chuckled. "I'll grab some things myself."

Allison's phone suddenly rang and then mine did too. Before we could even grab them, Mom quickly nabbed them and denied the calls.

"Who was that? Was that Scott?" Allison asked her, standing up. She may be scared and in shock right now, but she still loves him. She cares for him.

"No. Somebody named Jackson called you. And Jocelyn called Casey." Mom informed us, and I stood up.

"What are you gonna do to him?" Allison asked, referring to what will happen to Scott once he's found.

"That depends. We have a sort of moral code we follow. Especially when they're that young." She told her.

"Scott didn't kill anybody, Mom." I finally said, and she turned to me. "He wouldn't."

"This is all part of a longer conversation." She simply replied.

"I wanna know now. Right now." Allison demanded, and that's when Mom finally lost her patience.

Oh, hell.

"What you want right now doesn't matter." She snapped. "What you need is to stay quiet. The both of you." She turned. "You're catching a glimpse of something you're not quite ready to see, and there are others outside of this family who are not ready for you to see it. Staying quiet is the best protection. Do you two understand?"

Allison nodded slowly and I mumbled a small yes.

"Say it!" I jumped when she changed her tone drastically.

"I understand." Allison said.

"Same here." I said, and she smiled at us, completely changing her mood.

"Good." She said. "Now grab a few warm coats. It'll probably be cold up there."

"Got it, Mom." I said, and went off to my room to change out of my pajamas and to grab some coats.

We got in the car and it was completely silent. Dad came outside and went to the passengers window.

"You know you can't do this without me. You're not gonna find him on your own." Aunt Kate said.

"We're gonna talk about everything, I promise." Dad said to Allison, and she just stared blankly at him.

"Casey," he looks at me. "Behave yourself."

"Why can't I stay? I can help." I begged him, not wanting to leave my dad at the mercy of Peter Hale.

"You know why, squirt. Call me when you get there." He said, looking at the both of us when he said that last part.

Dad stepped away from the car and Aunt Kate started it before driving off into the night, on our way to stupid Washington.

Allison came back into the car looking emotionless. She convinced Aunt Kate to stop at the hospital because apparently Lydia was attacked by a wild animal or something, which I highly doubt. Well, the animal part, that is.
