The morning was quite cold in Winterfell. And little princess was struggling to pace freely inside her heavy furs and long gown. Days ago the hunters had found a lost direwolf cub in the forest and she loved it from the first sight. So she was heading to meet the cub on the yard. Once he saw her the cub run to the little princess and started to jump up and down happily shaking his furry tale. But within a single moment the girl looked up in the sky to see a dragon flying. She was small she didn't gave a second look probably Rhena was having rounds around and she continued to play with her direwolf.Dragon landed in front of the gate of Winterfell and man jumped from his back. He looked around, pattted dragon on his neck and then walked toward the gate of the castle. "Are you expecting me to say a password or will you open the gate?" He glanced from one guard to another. Men were staring at him like they saw a ghost and with a bow salutate their King and let him in. He walked to the center of the castle and stopped in the courtyard. Looking around, he looked up at the wall and smiled, seeing both banners hanging there beside each other.
Little princess rose her small face to follow up and see the face of the boot's owner that mudded her dress. She looked up with her big emerald eyes the enormous man standing above her having his face turned from her. She catches his cloak and shakes it with her small hand to get his attention. "Excuse me." She said with her sweet childish voice. "You're stepping on my dress." She tells him and the direwolf comes to cuddle on her feet looking up at the man.
"What?" Valarr turned in a moment, when he heard the voice speaking and jerking of his cloak. "I am sorry, little one," he stepped back and kneeled. He kneeled and he froze. Looking into little girl's eyes, it felt like he was looking into his own reflection. Her eyes were his, her glance was Sansa's. She stood up with direwolf in her arms and he couldn't take his eyes off of her. "How... What is your name, little one?" Valarr asked her softly, feeling his voice shake.
She looked at him for a moment and then pushed her lips together feeling shy. "Valaerrys but they call me Val." She said queitly petting her cub's head.
"That is such a beautiful name," Valarr whispered and his voice broke. He cupped his face and observed her with watering eyes and tighten throat. "I... They call me Valarr," he said, when his voice got a little bit stable and he could speak. But he was speechless, unable to say another word. He tucked her long fairy hair behind her ear and observed her with dreamy, yet little bit sad glare. "I am so sorry, my love," he then whispered, looking down. She was confused, of course she couldn't understand. "Tell me, my sweet Val, how do you call your direwolf?" He asked with a smile, trying to calm her nervousness a little.
Little princess was confused. She never saw him before, if he was one of the guards or the people that works in Winterfell she'll knew him. "He's Summer. Mommy told me about summer. There's no snow in the summer she said and it's warm like him." She gigle watching her direwolf tilting his head curiously watching him with fronting ears.
"Princess." A maids voice comes from the door. "Breakfast is ready come inside." She said and froze when she saw the man standing next to the girl. "My King." She bows holding her head down.
He dismissed her with a hand gesture and once she literally ran back inside a castle, he turned to his daughter, kneeling once again. "My Princess," Valarr said with a bow. "My name is Valarr, I... Would you do me the honour and allow me to accompany you to the castle and join you at the breakfast?" He asked her, brushing her cheek. "With Summer, of course." Valarr was desperate. He wished to hug her so much, to scoop her in his arms, to held her and scream that he is her father, but the last thing he wanted was to scare her.
Her reaction was surprisingly good. She just nod with a shy smile and took him by the hand walking infront without leaving his hand. She lead him inside on the small dining room next to the great hall. It was a room just for them to gather around at night's or mornings to dine just her Ned,mom and aunt Elaine.
