We were all sitting in the cafeteria, I had Lucas on my mind and the kiss last night but now I also had Jay or Miles, whatever he was calling himself on my mind. I was worried for him and for my friends.

Riley and Farkle were talking so I stood up to get some food, when I was walking back I purposefully walked past Lucas's table

As I walked past Lucas nodded to what the others were saying pretending to listen to them but turned and smiled at me as I walked past

I sat back down next to Riley and opposite Farkle

"What are you two talking about?" I asked once I was sitting down

"Farkle wants to leave camp!" Riley sounded so hurt but I didn't blame him, if I could leave I probably would

"I only come here for you Riley, to see you!" I've never seen Farkle annoyed before he's always sweet or quiet

"You're too preoccupied with Charlie anyway." He whispered up his breath

Farkle was jealous! Wow, I didn't think he was the jealous type

Riley still doesn't have any idea of Farkles feelings at least I don't think she knows, she's totally oblivious to him.

I can't help but feel bad for him

Charlie is this boy in our group it's his first year here too, he's sweet and I think he likes Riley but once Riley can see what's right in front of her and realise her obvious feelings for Farkle they'll both better off

"He's new I'm just being nice!" So she heard what he muttered under his breath

"Well he doesn't think it's just being nice!" Farkle shouted back they were both raising their voices more with each reply

"Yes he does!" She shouted back crossing her arms

"No he doesn't!" He repeated getting more flustered, people were staring at us at this point

I hid my face behind my hand this was getting embarrassing "Then what does he think genius?!" She asked not really as a question I don't think she is going to agree with whatever Farkle says

"He likes you" Farkle said like it was really simple

Riley rolled her eyes "He is a friend, he does not like me"

"God stop being so naive! Sometimes you can be so stupid" Farkle yelled not thinking and the mutters of the cafeteria quietened down and so did Riley

Riley was visibly annoyed and hurt she was gritting her teeth and clenching her water bottle tightly

"Riley, I'm so sorry I didn't mean that I just snapped" She didn't look like she was going to accept his apology any time soon

I knew I had to say something and try to diffuse the situation "Farkle you shouldn't leave, and Riles cut Farkle a little slack he only comes here since you love it, he doesn't enjoy it here."

They both looked at me, this is the first time they've properly acknowledged me since they started arguing

"Honey lets go outside and talk" I grabbed Riley's hand as I stood up

"Farkle I'll be back in a minute" I said as Riley was getting up

We both walked outside the cafeteria "He called me naive and stupid Maya! How could he do that" she grumbled and let out a frustrated breath

"What he said was bad but you have to see his side-" she gave me a deathly stern glare and interrupted me

"His side?! What is his side being angry because I have another guy friend it's pathetic" she crossed her arms and glared back at Farkle through the cafeteria doors

"He likes you Riley as more than a friend, he was jealous" I had to tell her, she didn't understand why Farkle was acting the way he was so I knew I had to tell her how he really felt

She turned back at me her expression softening "What? H-he likes me?" I nodded and it was like a big realisation hit her

"I-I don't know what to think" she had clear shock expression on her face, her mouth was open and her eyes were wide

I placed my hands on her shoulders "Riles look at me" she looked down at me

"Why don't you go back to the cabin and you can think this over and talk to Farkle later?" I suggested since she was not in a good frame of mind to speak to him now

She just nodded and started to walk away, she'll be okay.

Probably..

I went back in and sat back down opposite Farkle

He ran his hand through his hair stressed "Does she hate me?" I laughed slightly

"Of course she doesn't hate you Farkle." I could see he regretted what he said and he probably just said it because he was stressed he definitely didn't mean what he said

"I didn't mean that, she's not stupid she's beautiful and intelligent and just extremely amazing" He smiled slightly when talking about her, could they get any cuter!

His smile quickly faded and he hit the table "I'm the stupid one, how could I ever say that to her?"

I placed my hand over his "Hey. Don't say that you're not stupid you were just hurting" I reassuringly squeezed his hand and then moved my hand away again

"Look Farkle she doesn't hate you, just give her a little bit and then go speak to her she's in our cabin" He nodded and stood up grabbing his tray

"Thanks Maya, I think I'm just going to go on a walk. I'll see you later" I gave him a pity smile and he walked away

Wow I'm just putting fires out all over the place right now. I'm pretty proud of myself I think I handled that situation very well,

Well I mean it could of been better but I did the best I could

Just as I was thinking Lucas walked by my table and stood opposite me with his tray in his hands

"Hey Huckleberry" I greeted as a smile came onto my face

"Hey Hart" he sat down opposite me, this was a shock I thought he had to sit at the table with the other staff

"Won't this be a little obvious if you're sitting with me" I whispered leaning in closer so nobody heard except Lucas

"I'm just seeing what that little argument was about" he smirked and leaned back in his seat

Smart coverup, I'll give him that

He placed his hand on the table and slid something across the table to me, so it didn't look so obvious once he moved his hand I placed my drink over the piece of paper he was passing me and slid my drink closer to me

"I'll see you later" he said as he was standing up "at the next activity" he added making it clear

I just smiled, he would need to work on his lying, but he was cute trying

Once he had left the table I lifted up my drink and read what he had wrote to me

I unfolded the paper and tried to hide it as I read it, it said

'Tonight after the last activity, meet me at the campfire I want to show you something' and then he drew a little smiley face

I held in a laugh, he was so sweet. I wonder what he wants to show me tonight?
