Chapter Nineteen

It's been a few hours since our last activity of the day and I'm just waiting for Riley to go to sleep so I can sneak out and meet Lucas

"Riles I want to sleep so shush" She has finally realised she loves Farkle that's why she was acting so weird earlier she was sort of in shock with herself but now I have to listen to her say the same things over and over again

"I just can't believe it, I love Farkle he's like-" I sighed, here she goes again

"-he's like your best friend who you've known all your life it would be so weird if you dated him but what if it isn't weird and you are meant to be" I finished off her sentence since I knew exactly what she was going to say she would say this then I would give her some advice and she would sit quietly but then break the quiet silence by asking more questions

"Riley we've been over this multiple times, clearly you're not listening to me anyway so why don't you just sleep and see how you feel tomorrow?" I offered different advice hoping she would just listen to me and go to sleep. I'm already late to meet Lucas I don't want to be even later.

"You're probably right I'm just overthinking things I'll go to sleep" I let out a breath of relief

If my sigh could talk it would say 'thank god she's finally done'

I love Riley but my god that girl can talk

I didn't reply to her so hopefully the silence makes her more tired. I lay there for ten more minutes until I just couldn't lie down there anymore

I quietly got up and put my phone in my back pocket and put on Lucas's jacket he gave me yesterday

Riley stirred slightly in her sleep so I stayed stood exactly where I was being careful not to move and make noise

I don't think she woke up I think I'm in the clear

I tiptoed to the back door and as quietly as I possibly could opened the door and shut it behind me

I speed walked to the campfire and thankfully Lucas was still there waiting he was sitting on the log

I rushed up behind him and placed my hands over his eyes

"Guess who?" I said trying to alter my voice to be deeper

"Hmm I wonder who has such an adorable yet definitely not fake deep voice" he joked and moved his hands over mine

"It must be one of my many girls I have lined up" He moved my hands off his eyes and turned to look at me behind him "Hi Maya"

I rolled my eyes, I was trying to be all cute

"Hi Ranger Rick" I moved and sat next to him still holding one of his hands

"I better be the only girl you have lined up" I joked replying to his joke

"I can't say it wouldn't be fair to the others but you're definitely my favourite" he joked and smirked, I let go of his hand playfully hit his arm with my hand

"All jokes aside, what's this surprise you wanted to show me?" I am really curious what he has planned hopefully I'll like whatever it is

"Woah all jokes aside? I didn't agree to that" he chuckled slightly and a smile came across my face it was hard not to smile around him he just made me so happy

He stood up "I'll show you now"

"Ooh strip tease?" I joked whilst looking up at him
