"So as I assume you all heard in the announcement we are doing a self defence class together, this here is Carl he will be teaching us the basics and I will also be taking part " Lucas pointed to some guy next to him he has long dirty blonde hair tied back into a man bun and had a slight bit of stubble

I didn't need this class I was already trained in self defence amongst many other things but I couldn't really explain that to anyone here

I could probably teach this class better than whoever this guy is

There was a mat placed on the ground so nobody got hurt and then Carl picked two people randomly and put them together to try a different defence technique

Carl just taught us a new move, well not new for me but for the rest of them

He had showed us how to how to flip somebody if they have hold of you from behind, quite an easy move I think

His eyes scanned the group "You" he pointed at me and then pointed at somebody else

I felt a small smile on my face "And you" it was Gardner, maybe I can get him to tell me what's going on

We walked on the mat and the rest of the group stepped back, we got into the starting position with Charlie being the one I had to flip, this would be fun

Almost instantaneously after Charlie grabbed me I changed from what had originally been taught to us and went back to what I was taught, I kicked Charlie in the shin and grabbed his arm with both my hands bending down lower twisting his arm and flipping him onto his back

I heard people watching gasp and Charlie just groaned on the floor

Maybe I went too far

I looked down at him and held my hand out to help him up, he glared at me but took my hand and I helped him to his feet

"You okay bud?" The instructor said placing his hand on Charlie's shoulder

He whimpered but nodded "I'm fine"

"Ms Hart" he was staring at me now

Great, here comes the 'why didn't you listen' speech

"Even though you went against what I told you..." he paused

"You have great technique and strength in combat training" I slightly smiled, thank god he wasn't angry at me

"If Mr Gardner doesn't mind I'd like to keep you two as partners for the rest of the activity, I think he could learn from you" I let out a small laugh, this must be embarrassing for him he's been trying to impress Riley and act all tough and me, a small petite girl easily ruins all that for him

"What do you say" I smirked and he looked around

"I'm not sure" he hesitated

"What you scared Gardner" I said intimidatingly but also mockingly

"Not at all Hunter" my face dropped how the hell did he know my name

"Oh sorry I meant Hart your name just slipped my mind" He was smiling widely at my blank expression

"Great it's settled then we have our first pair" Carl then gave us a mat and a sheet of step by step moves

We placed the mat down and I grabbed the sheet to make it look like that's what we were talking about "How do you know?"

"Know what?" He snatched the paper off me, what is he a child

"Calling me Hunter what else has he told you" I didn't dare take my eyes off him,

I could feel an anger building up in me he has no right to speak that name like he knows me he doesn't know anything and him acting all tough and arrogant is getting on my nerves

"I have no idea what you mean" he smirked at me keeping whatever secret Jay is making him keep

I let my anger get the better of me and I tackled him to the ground knocking the wind out of him and making him gasp for breath

I held him down "Now listen up, you will tell me everything that's happening because no matter what you have been told you don't even know the half of it and besides I might not look it but I'm much stronger than you" I threatened him and then stood back up I didn't want anyone coming over and having attention on us

It was taking a lot of strength out of me not to hit him in his smug face

Charlie lay on the ground a little longer and then got up "Fine, I'll tell you but it's not that big of a deal"

Yeah right, nothing they did was small

Charlie then explained everything he knew to me, there were some gaps but I got the basic picture

"Thanks.. do me a favour will you" I looked around

"If people ask I'm getting a drink from the canteen" I was looking at Lucas now, I needed to fix Jays mistakes before this little problem escalates much more

I can't let him get hurt, I can't let any of them get hurt

Surprisingly Charlie agreed to not tell anyone I was leaving "And don't talk to Jay anymore trust me you don't want to be apart of it" and with that I walked off
