"So what she has powers now?" Stark asked stunned after everything was settled.
"Yeah" I whispered softly.
"And this is the first power you've....birth?" He said
"Well the first power I'm aware of yes."  I said furrowing my eyebrows at his choice of words.
"So there could be more?" Stark asked.
"I'm sure there is a possibility" I said.
"Well is there anything that happens before you loose control? Like a warning per say?" He asked me.
"Yes. I get this burning sensation that spreads. And my hands start shaking" I said.
"Okay see that's good kid. At least you're aware of it and can try to control it when you detect the signs start appearing" he said
I nod in agreement.
"Any triggers thus far?" He asked.
"I guess it gets triggered when I'm overwhelmed" I said.
"Okay how about—" Stark continues before Peter interfered
"I think that's enough interrogation for one day Mr.Stark"  Peter said.
"I'm not interrogating her, it's a fun question/answer conversation" he stated winking at me playfully
"Well we don't want to overwhelm her" he mentioned
"Good point. Well I'll swing by tomorrow. For now I think it's better if you stay here, so we can monitor you and keep a close eye on you. I know you don't want to hurt anyone but we don't know what you're capable of just yet, and we want to make sure you can not only understand your powers but also control them" Stark said.
"I agree. My mom already knows about my powers since turns out my mom knew about my brainwash incident this whole time and just lied to my face about it" I said.
"That's some heavy stuff kid. You know Pepper would love to sit and listen to you. I would offer but I'm really impatient so I won't. I'll offer Pepper as tribute instead" he said and I chuckled.
"I would love to talk to her. Did she get my gift?" I asked.
"She loved it. She sent you a thank you letter." He said.
"Well congratulations! You guys will be wonderful parents" I reassured smiling.
"Thank you young lady. Peter almost pass out when I told him the news" he laughed.
"I just...I wasn't expecting that kind of news. I was surprised" he said defensively.
"We could barely get the word 'baby' out before he started jumping up excitedly" he said.
"Well I've always been the baby in the family, so growing up I wasn't around babies all that much, this is really exciting" he said his eyes beaming happily.
"Alright kid, I need to go check on Pepper. She is having the weirdest cravings now a days and I need to make sure to deliver as I'm told. I'm one dial away kid" he said hugging him and waving at me before leaving.
"Seeing Stark being affectionate will always be weird to me. No matter how many times I see him hug you" I laughed.
"Yeah..." he chuckled.
"Peter—" I started before a knock interrupted us.
"Umm...come in" I said.
Elijah walk hand in hand with none other than....Bailey by his side.
What the hell!?
"Hey! Ned told me you were sick? You're okay? You seemed fine at the party" he said while I just stared at Bailey in shock.
"She's your ex?" I asked disregarding his previous question.
"I need to talk to you both" Bailey spoke in a serious tone while looking between Peter and me.
"Okay..." I said slowly.
"Would you leave us babe?" Bailey asked looking at him softly.
"Yeah yeah of course I'll wait outside. Ned is out there anyways" he said giving me a soft smile before walking away and shutting the door behind him.
"What's going on?" I asked sitting up straighter in my bed.
"I know you're Spider-Man Peter" Bailey said looking at him.
Peter looked at me his eyes showing panic whole trying to stay cool.
"I-I'm NOT Spider-Man. Why–why would you even say that?" He said laughing awkwardly while scratching the back of his head.
"Peter is right Bailey. Trust me I would know if he was Spider-boy and he most definitely is not" he said my poker face showing I was dead serious about my statement.
"Let's just cut the bullshit. I know his secret and I also know that you know MJ. I'm not telling you this to blackmail you guys or anything. I want to explain to you guys how I know his secret" she said.
"Fine" Peter admitted defeatedly.
I glared at him feeling like choking him for giving in so easily.
He seriously couldn't just keep denying it! What is she gonna do? Tell her Instagram followers. Who would believe Peter is Spider-Man
"My dad is the CEO and owner of Osborn Corporate ." She said looking at Peter guiltily.
"Osborn Corporate? Your father is Norman Osborn?" He asked incredulously.
She looked away from him in shame.
Okay what the hell am I missing?
"Mind filling me in? What is going on?" I asked looking at Peter for answers
"Norman Osborn was my father's boss. My dad worked for him as one of his most trusted scientists. They were both really close practically best friends but my dad quit after Norman became obsessed over this experiment both him and my dad were making. It was his radioactive spider that—how could I be so stupid!? Of course he used you to get close to me!" He said turning his gaze to Bailey.
"I'm sorry Peter. He made me do it. He's been obsessed with you. He knew it was his spider thingy that gave you those powers. He's known that you're Spider-Man all this time. He made me break up with Elijah so I could befriend you and get close to you. But a few months ago after many human trails, he managed to replicate the same powers." He said while both Peter and I listened tentatively.
"All of his human trails are voluntary. He gives people a good amount of monetary incentives if you choose to participate in his experiments. A few months ago a girl volunteered. It was the first ever female to volunteer to undergo the experiment and my dad couldn't have been more thrilled" She said hesitantly.
My heart dropped in anticipation.
"Who was it?" I asked softly even though deep down I know who it was.
"Peter...I'm so sorry but the female volunteer was Gwen Stacey." She said looking down at her feet.
"Wh-what!?? You-your lying!" He said angrily looking at me for reassurance.
"I'm not Peter. That's why she has your powers. Because she was genetically alter to have an exact replica of your powers Peter" she said.
"You're a lying piece of garbage. I don't believe a single word out of mouth" he said.
"Peter I'm trying to help you. That's why I'm with Elijah now. Because my father doesn't need me anymore. Gwen got close to you to know analysis everything about you. That's why she 'moved' schools from out of nowhere. Why no one knows who she is? Don't you think it's a big coincidence that someone with your same powers goes to your same high school? How she was so interested in you before even knowing your name? She knew your whole life story before even laying eyes on you. That's why she didn't like MJ, she was just in the way" Bailey said desperately.
"That's why you two were fighting in the bathroom two weeks ago" I said everything falling into place.
"Yes. I confronted her. But she obviously couldn't kill me because I'm the daughter of the person she gets her pay checks from. I don't know what they're planning but it's nothing good knowing my father. I just wanted to warn you Peter. You need to be careful. You can't trust Gwen. She's been lying to you this entire time." She said before leaving us both with our thoughts all over the place.
That lying piece of shit.
There was only one thing I was certain about.
The second I lay eyes on her I will sonic wave her ass to fucking Mars.
