The library has been my sole and unconditional supporter for a couple of weeks now, it's no wonder since books are better than people. Ned texts me almost everyday to check up on me but we don't hang out as often anymore. I've decided to keep my distance from anything or anyone dealing with Peter which unfortunately includes Ned. I know I shouldn't let Peter ruin my friendship with Ned but everyone knows that Peter and Ned are the most loyal best friends in the entire universe and I don't want to make Ned choose. I'm not gonna ruin Ned's and Peter's friendship because I decided to cut Peter out of my life. I also don't want them to fight over me and I know Ned will try and defend me if shit went down.
The classes that Peter and me share together are always uncomfortable but I've managed to sit in the opposite side of the room away from both Gwen and him. Gwen is always indirecting saying crap to piss me off which by now I'm use to ignoring. What hurts is the fact that Peter knows what she's doing and doesn't stop her which in a way I think he does to keep me from trying to talk things out with him. We both know that the longer we don't talk, the less likely we are to ever talk again and that scares the living crap out of me. But it also makes me wonder if Peter's life is better without me; he doesn't need to worry about me and now that he has Gwen, he isn't alone anymore. He has someone who understand him and can fight right alongside him keeping him from doing stupid things and even keeping him safe which is something I could never do. Even though I hate Gwen I do got to admit that she is his best choice.
Our English class has a project with assigned pairs and I already have a feeling that I'm gonna get paired up with Peter. I can just feel it in my gut and it makes me want to throw up in anticipation. She placed the paper on the board indicating us to go and check ourselves and everyone quickly rush to check their partners. When I saw Gwen face scan the paper and show disappointment and then scan the paper some more and glare at the sheet I just knew my name was besides Peter. My suspicion was confirmed when she turned around to glare at me. I scanned Peter's face to see he was frowning at the sheet of paper.
Ouch.
I focused my gaze on the floor and waited for the crowd to disappear before standing up and approaching the board. Gwen was still standing by the board. As soon as I begin scanning the paper Gwen discreetly grabbed my upper arm and forcefully tighten her hold making me quickly glare at him while internally saying 'BITCH IT HURTS!!!'
"Don't pretend you didn't do this" she said whispering harshly yet softly to not attract attention. Well more like Peter's attention
"What the hell are you taking about?" I hissed while tugging at my arm.
"You did this on purpose. You made sure that Peter got paired up with you" she said glaring at me and pulling me closer to her.
"I don't fucking read minds you idiot. How was I suppose to know who our teacher paired us up with." I said more sternly and loudly(loud enough for Peter's ears to catch and pull his crazy bitch friend off me)
"Shut the hell up!" She scolded quickly looking over her shoulder towards Peter's direction who's head had slowly turned our direction, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"Let me go" I said tugging my arm again.
"You're not getting him back Michelle. You're too late" she whispered smirking proudly.
I angrily yanked my throbbing arm off her grip and rubbed it softly. Fingermarks marked against my skin. Bruise? Yeah I'll have that for a couple of days for sure. If she'd held my arm any longer, she would've cut all blood circulation. She definitely has super strength.
"Touch me again and I'll make sure to break your nose so you and Peter can share the same life experience you downsize elf" I said staring down at her before walking back to my seat holding onto my arm.
She quickly walked to her seat and assured Parker that everything was fine. He gave her a doubtful look before hesitantly nodded.
"Okay now that you guys know your partners I'd like you guys to get together and plan out how the project will be distributed for the rest of class period. Let's get moving guys" she encouraged and one by one kids started moving all around the classroom. I just quietly stood in my seat with no intention to move. I saw Parker hesitantly move towards the back of the classroom with Gwen hot on his tail with her own partner beside her.
"I'll do the project and put your name on it" I said once he was close enough.
"I'm not letting you do that" he said flatly.
"Well did it look like I was asking?" I snapped back not taking my eyes off my book. My book is my shield.
"Did it I stuttered? We do this project half and half" Parker snaps back and I almost gasped in shock and utter proudness.
"Fine. I can interview Pepper and you can write about the impact and inspiration that she has made" I stated shortly.
"Sounds fair" he said.
"Pete are you done?" Gwen asked sweetly.
"Guess so" he stated glancing at me one last time before grabbing Gwen's hand in his and pulling her away.
My heart stopped.
I took a sharp breath
Gripped my book tighter
And slowly died internally
Taking all hope I had left with it.
Of course Spider-Man and Spider-Bitch will get together.

I just finished my first week in college and it has been exhausting. I might be able to update every Friday from now on, anyone who has started college knows the struggle, I'll try and still update every Friday but it will be unlikely since I barely even have time to do my own homework. I love you his and thank you for understanding.
