Josette was feeling worse and worse by the minute. She had just left Beas apartment and had left Jerome's place a couple days ago. Josette had been resting but M constantly throwing up and her energy is just completely gone.
The rest of the day was spent laying in bed moping around. The sound of her phone ringing caught her attention. She answered it bringing the device to her ear. "Hello?" She mumbled into the phone. "Hey doll how are you feeling?" Jerome asked. "Miserable, what are you doing?" The girl said getting up from her comfortable spot. "I'm actually just about to walk through you front door." He hung up and the girl heard the sound of the door open follow right after.
Jerome walked up the stairs and was greeted by Josette. "Hi." She said with a small and tired smile. "You should really go to the doctor" Jerome suggested but she declined. "No it's just a bug it'll go away eventually." The girl quickly stood up. "But guess what we're going today!" She said with excitement. "What are we doing?" He asked raising his eyebrow. "We are wrapping Christmas presents!" She said jumping up and down. Jerome sighed he hated Christmas, ever since he was little. He preferred Halloween.
"Oh boy how fun." The ginger added with sarcasm. "I know you hate it but this is the perfect opportunity since my siblings aren't here."
The girl practically dragged her boyfriend down stairs, he did not want to participate in this but it seemed like he had no choice. All the gifts were on the floor in the living room. Colorful wrapping paper, scissors and tape laid on the table ready to be used.
"You bought them all these gifts?" Jerome asked. "Yeah." She said with a smile. "I can't wait for Christmas just to see the look on their face when they see what they got."
"You should come over." Josette added but Jerome shook his head "not really my scene doll, plus I don't think your brothers like me after what happened."
"Well you can make it up to them, and Katie loves you, she asks about you a lot." Jerome smiled. "Maybe I'll think about it..."
As the two sat on the floor and began wrapping Jerome looked at her. "Do you still want to do that thing you were talking about?" He asked referring to what Derek was saying a couple days ago. Josette scoffed as she finished her first gift. "I told you I was just playing." Jerome rolled his eyes "obviously you were lying." The girl sighed "I was just thinking about it. I don't want to stay here my whole life, I just thought maybe it would be kinda different, but it's stupid."
Jerome shook his head. "No it's not stupid." He said reassuring her. "But honestly don't want to do it, because of my siblings...I have to take care of them, that would instantly put them in harms way." She responded. A small frown appeared on his face and he gave a slow nod. "Yeah that's true."
"Ya know if you really want to do it I won't stop you, I was just scared." He admitted. Josette looked up. "Scared of what?" She asked. "It's dangerous out there. Dangerous people that don't care about anyone or anything. They could hurt you and I don't know what I would do if something worse happened." Josette sadly smiled. "It's not gonna happen. I'm not going anywhere. I promise." Josette reassured him.
