This place looked very familiar, too familiar. It was her old house, so many memories, mostly sad whenever her parents were around.

Only this time something was very different, she knew she was dreaming. She saw herself in the third person and she looked younger, maybe 12 or 11.

She saw herself sitting on her bed about to call it a night, until she was interrupted by her dad walking in. He looked very different, and really clean in a neat suit.

Sitting on the edge of the bed he looked at her with a soft smile "I'm leaving tomorrow." The young girl tilted her head "Leaving for what?" She asked not knowing what the hell kind of dream this was. "Don't tell me you forgot silly. Tomorrow I'm leaving to the military." Josette was sure that wasn't really how it worked, but dream logic was crazy.

"Oh...yeah." She said acting like she totally knew. "I'll wake up early to say goodbye okay?" With a nod of her head she pulled the covers over her feeling a warm kiss being placed on her forehead, something she never felt from her father instead of kisses and hugs she got beating, it felt so real, like it was actually happening.

Once her eyes closed for one second everything was as bright as day, her room was neat and the color of rose gold shone through the pink curtains.

Getting out of bed she walked downstairs to the living room seeing her mom sitting down watching tv, this was the complete opposite of her child hood, this was happy, comforting and warm.

"Good morning sweetheart, your father is upstairs getting ready." She told Josette with a smile. With no particular reason she raced up the stairs and into her parents room which was nicely put together, it was never like that.

There he was, her dad fixing his tie, he was very handsome. Her parents had always been good looking, very good looking, Josette knew she got her beauty from them, but the more drugs they did the more unpleasant their faces became. She had actually forgotten how handsome her father was until now.

"Good morning." His extremely white teeth were exposed as he smiled, immediately making Josettes face light up. "Good morning dad." That word felt foreign to her, throughout most of her life she called her father by his name, never did she want to give him the honor of him being her dad.

His arms extended asking for a hug, she didn't know why but she felt the need to run into them. He picked her up holding her in his embrace and spun her around, it all felt so real but she knew it was just a dream.

Jerome's eyes lazily opened as he heard the strange sound of sniffles, the feeling of something wet on his chest immediately made him open his eyes.
