Night Out

John's POV

It has been a few weeks since the twins birthday party, and I didn't want to tell Katy but the record company thinks it's time I go on tour again.

I wasn't interested in touring anymore. I really just wanted to be a dad, and make that my career.

I really have no choice though, with my contract and stuff I really need to do a 6 month tour atleast.

It would start next month most likely, but we need to plan before, which means I wouldn't be home a lot. Katys a great mother, but she's been stressing out lately. I don't know if leaving her for a few months is going to help.

I figured I would take her out tonight, somewhere nice, let her know that I love her but I had to go on tour. I think she will understand, since she most likely is getting harassed by her label to tour.

I decided to text her, make sure she didn't make plans for tonight.

I searched for Katy in my contacts.

J: 6:30 sharp. Be ready, we are going somewhere nice. I'll find someone to watch the kids.

K: I'm not sure, maybe just a family night with the kids is a better idea.

Ever since she had the twins she has become antisocial. She doesn't like being out in public. She would rather just sit at home with the kids. She could use a nice night out.

J: Katy you haven't been out of the house in a year. I need to talk to you anyways. You and me, were going on a date. I will drag you out of the house if I have to.

K: fine.

Thank god. I thought she was going to fight with me all day about this. I called up Angela asking her to watch the twins. She said sure and that Shannon would be coming with her. Leaving Shannon alone with the kids might not be the best idea, but Angela will supervise. Hopefully.

It was 6:20 and Katy was upstairs getting ready. Angela and Shannon just arrived at the house.

"Where are you taking her?" The overprotecting bestfriend aka Shannon asked.

"I have dinner reservations for 6:45 and then I was thinking of going somehwere after. We should be home around 11."

"I can take the twins to my house if you want, so when you guys get home you don't have to worry." Said Angela.

I thought about it, that may not be a bad idea.

"You know what, that would be great. Thanks Ang."

With that said we got all the kids stuff ready. And Katy came down stairs.

Angela and Shannon left the same time that Katy and I left.

Before getting in the car Katy ran over to Ang.

Katys POV

I hugged Ang.

"Thanks so much, hopefully tonight will be fun I haven't been out in a while."

We broke the hug and she looked at me.

"No problem, behave yourself Katheryn. I don't need to watch the news about my crazy sister tomorrow morning!"

We laughed and I hopped into Johnd car.

"You look amazing." John said looking over at me while starting his car.

"Well thank you Mr. Mayer. Where exactly are we going?"

"Well, if we can get to the restaurant in the next 3 minutes we will be going there. But I don't think that's going to happen so I guess you will just have to wait and see."

Oh god. I can only imagine what John had planned this time.
