Two days later, Leo was up and running again and it took him two more for repairs to be done. That said we were a week off course; an even greater chance for Elpis to be released. Leo said we would be reaching Greece in about five days just as he had estimated before. I guess it wouldn't have mattered whether we stopped or not. Either way, it would have taken a week and a half. But I guess you never know. Something even worse could have happened if we didn't stop to fix the ship, it could have broken even more.
Now we were headed back out and away from Bermuda. Boring hour after hour had been passing slower than molasses leaving us with about four days until we reach Europe and an extra day until we reach Greece. Sure I was bored but I'd rather be doing nothing then being attacked again. Leo had scared me enough before and I did not need to loose anyone, especially since the prophecy already promised one...
I was sitting with Kylie out on the deck just sort of relaxing. The boys were off doing who knows what and frankly I didn't exactly care. Leo I obviously didn't mind but Percy was just driving me even crazier every day. I had my eyes closed letting the wind blow against my face. Kylie was lazily tossing her volleyball beside me. It made me laugh how despite everything, she still had her volleyball with her.
"You know," Kylie said breaking the silence, " I don't really think Percy hates you that much."
I opened my eyes and raised an eyebrow, "Are you sure about that?"
"I mean you may tick each other off, but that doesn't necessarily mean he hates you. He may just be joking around you know? He can be like that."
I shrugged, "He doesn't act that way towards anyone else Kylie. People always tell me how chill he is, how funny and sassy is. He's changed because of me. I don't think of him any more than he does of me. It's mutual."
Kylie shook her head, "I'm just trying to make feel better."
"I honestly don't really care, it's okay," I assured her.
"Maybe he's just jealous of you."
"Jealous," I laughed shortly, "Jealous of me, very funny."
"Yeah, I mean why not? He brought up how you and Leo acted around each other. Maybe he wishes that he could joke around like that with Annabeth."
"I'm surprised they don't. They seem so comfortable around each other."
"Yes, but I've noticed how when he jokes around with her, she just kind of acts like he's crazy. You play along with what Leo says. I don't know, it's just a thought."
I shrugged, "It seems too bizarre."
"Not only that," she continued, "but did you see his face after you killed that serpent? Pure jealously."
"I doubt it."
Kylie yawned, "Whatever, I'm gonna go take a nap. I'm tired."
"Alright," I said, "Have fun."
She laughed before standing up and making her way downstairs. Just a second later Leo came up the stairs taking a bite out of an apple. He made his way over to the quarter deck as quickly as somebody that was late for a plane. He was so consumed in getting to where he needed to be that he didn't even see me sitting there. I grinned and shook my head before standing up to follow him. As I made my way over to him, I noticed that he was messing around with the wii remotes. He set them down for a second and pressed a button on the controls. It took me a minute to realize exactly what he was doing, but when I did I found myself laughing.
Leo jumped at the sound of my laugh whirling around to face me, "Woah, um hi Rowan."
"So you can play wii!" I exclaimed watching the screen pop up to the home menu.
