My eyes widened as I read Zeke's reply over and over again. Tumikhim ako bago mabilis na umayos mula sa pagkakaupo.

Me:
You were there earlier? Bakit hindi ka nagpakita para hindi na kami naghintay na tumila 'yong ulan?

Zeke:
If you have questions, I'm right in front of Cali's condominium building. Tell them that I'm already here to fetch you.

My brows furrowed as I looked at them enjoying their beers now. My eyes gradually shifted to Blade who was seriously typing on his phone.

I cleared my throat before standing up. "I'm sorry to disturb your moment but I have to go now. My brother is already here to fetch me," I said.

"Zeke? Where is he? I can talk—"

"You know Zeke when it comes to his sister, Cali," Blade cut her off. Kakababa niya lang din sa phone niya.

Cali wanted to call Zeke to invite him pero pinigilan siya ni Blade na parang kinausap siya ng kambal ko na pauwiin na rin ako.

"Hey," I said as I ran towards him. He was leaning against his car with both hands in his pockets. "Why—"

"Ask me when we get home," masungit na putol niya sa akin.

"Sa tingin mo pumayag agad akong umuwi para lang sabihin mo sa aking mamaya na ako magtanong pagkauwi natin?"

"Yes, because I said so," he said before entering his car.

I blew a few strands of my hair out of my face before grudgingly getting in his car.

"I'm—"

My words were cut off by the loud sound of his car. For Pete's sake, he's using his favorite loud car again!

I kept glaring at him until we got home. When we entered the house, he immediately headed towards the stairs. He was about to get up when I quickly went ahead of him to block him on the stairs.

"Where do you think you're going? Sagutin mo na ang tanong ko. Nandito na tayo sa bahay!"

Pinagtaasan niya ako ng kilay. "Maaga ako bukas. I will answer your questions tomorrow over breakfast."

"Zeke!" I screamed but he just waved his hand on me before proceeding to his room.

I couldn't sleep that night thinking what else he could've seen. Was he already there when we were going to the convenience store? Of course! How did he know we were there if he didn't see us going there, right?

Pero bakit ba ako kinabahan? Wala naman kaming ginawang masama!

"Ah! This is making me go nuts!" I screamed on my pillow before ruffling my hair.

I don't know how I slept. I just remembered that I was busy listening to music while looking at the jacket that Blade lended me. The scent was a combination of his clothes, his perfume, and his natural body scent. Super bango lang talaga.

"Wake up, Zara Gray!"

I was having my peaceful sleep when I heard Lorelei's voice inside my room. I was still sleepy so instead of asking what she was doing here, I kept my eyes closed.

"ZG, please! Pupunta tayo kila Calista ngayon!"

"It's too early to hang out, Lorelei," I groaned. "Don't you have a hangover? And besides, I'm still sleepy."

"Sige na, please? Gising na! Pinaalam na kita kila Tito. Pumayag na sila! All you have to do is to wake up and get ready!"

I tried to ignore her but she's really persistent kaya naman wala akong choice kung hindi bumangon. Sinamaan ko kaagad siya ng tingin.
