The first few days went smoothly. I found myself enjoying the work. Miss Lena were very hands on sa pag-assist sa akin. She always encourages me to voice my ideas and contribute to brainstorming sessions.

"Miss na kita," malungkot na sabi ko habang nakatitig lang kay Blade sa screen.

"I miss you more, my love. How's life doing there?"

I shifted on my bed. My fingers nervously tapping against the edge of my laptop.

"Life here is busy," I answered. Magtatatlong linggo na rin pala ako rito. "Pero alam mo, ang daming magagandang buildings dito, love. I feel inspired every day, but at the same time, I feel like I'm chasing something that keeps slipping away."

Blade's expression softened. "You're in a whole new world, love. Don't forget you're there because of your talent. You've got this."

"Thank you," I said. "I just wish you were here. You'd probably love this city too."

He chuckled. "I bet I would, as long as I was with you."

For a moment, we both just looked at each other. Blade broke it with a gentle sigh.

"It's okay to feel lost sometimes, love. It's part of being in a place you're unfamiliar with. But remember, I'm always here, kahit gaano pa kalayo."

One afternoon while I'm busy with my work, Mr. Klaus dropped by the open workspace where I was going over some blueprints with Miss Lena. He seemed genuinely interested in the project, asking detailed questions and making insightful comments about the design.

"Your attention to detail is impressive, Architect Cua," Mr. Klaus said. Natuwa kaagad ako nang marinig 'yon. "It's refreshing to see someone so passionate right from the start."

"Thank you, Mr. Klaus. I'm grateful for the opportunity to be here and contribute."

He smiled and then suddenly leaned a little closer, lowering his voice as if sharing a secret. Sa gulat ay hindi kaagad ako nakaiwas.

"Berlin has a lot to offer someone with your talent. I'd be happy to show you some places after work, so you can experience the city beyond the office."

Tumikhim ako bago pasimpleng lumayo sa kanya. Napatingin ako kay Miss Lena para sana tingnan kung nakita niya iyon pero abala lang siya sa ginagawa.

"Thank you for the offer, but I've been exploring a bit on my own," maayos na sagot ko.

Nakahinga ako ng maluwag nang tuluyan na siyang umalis. Bumalik na rin kaagad si Miss Lena sa ginagawa habang ako ay hindi pa rin makagalaw sa pwesto ko.

"Don't worry, he's always like that. Masanay ka na," Miss Lena said.

Tumango ako at nanahimik nalang. He's always like that. Baka nga ganon talaga siya kaya maraming rumors na nag cicirculate kagaya noong kwinento ni Aki.

"Guess what?" malaki ang ngiti ni Blade habang nakatingin sa screen.

"What?" tanong ko. Hindi nagtagal ang tingin ko sa kanya dahil abala ako sa pagluluto ng dinner ko.

"Love, look!" he said.

Mabilis akong humarap sa laptop ko. Nanlaki kaagad ang mata ko nang makita ang hawak-hawak niyang plane ticket.
