Chrysoprase grabs onto the portkey with one hand and takes Cedrics hand with the other. The boy offers her a grin. "Just grab onto me, right?" She nods and just a moment later they are in a hurricane of wild wind as the portkey does its job. "Let go, children.", Arthur Weasley calls out. "What?!", Hermione calls out in horror. "Let go!" They all do, except for Chrysoprase, Cedric and the two adults. "Ready?", Cedric asks. Chrysoprase nods and, quickly lets go, immediately wrapping her arms around his neck. He wraps his arm around her waist and gently they sink down to the ground. Elegantly he sets her down. "Are you okay?" "Yeah. Thanks. I would have landed on my bottom if not for you.", Chrysoprase answers with a smile and he offers her his hand that she simply takes, swinging their arms a bit as excitement tickles a wide grin out of her. They quickly make their way over the hill and look over the ocean of tents and colorful people from all around. "Children.. welcome to the Quidditch worldcup!", Arthur announces and Ced and Chrys share a look of happiness with each other. They walk to a muggle that tells them where their tents are and part ways with the Weasleys and co. "See you later, old man.", Amos grins. "We'll see you then. Cedric. Chrysoprase." "Bye Cedric. Bye Chrys." The twins wave the two off and the two give them a smile and a wave back, before hurrying to follow Amos.
They enter the tent and quickly unpack their things in their shared seperated bedroom with a bunk bed. "Top or bottom bunk?", Chrysoprase asks her friend. "Top so you don't have to climb.", Cedric smiles and earns himself a playful jab in the ribs.
They put down their things and then sit on the bottom bunk together. "Why didn't you tell Arthur Weasley that we aren't dating..?", Chrys finally has the guts to ask. He looks at her with his beautiful grey eyes, not getting out a word for a while. "Would.. that be so bad?" "What?" "Us.. dating..", he finally mutters, blushing. Chrysoprases eyes widen and she gapes at him. "You'd.. actually want to.. date me?", she asks, now flushing as well. Both recied to silent embarrassed blushing. "If.. you don't want to just .. forget I asked...", Cedric stutters out. "I don't want to.", Chrys blurts out, before shaking her head wildly. "Forget it I mean! I don't want to forget it." "Really?" A smile grows on the older boys lips. She nods. "Helga.. this was complicated.", Cedric laughs, wrapping his arms around her and she leans into him, closing her eyes. "Let's never do anything that brings such an awkward conversation along." Cedric laughs and nods. "Sounds good to me." "Do you two want some lunch?", Amos yells through the tent, making the two jump apart and look at each other, then laugh. "Coming dad! Come on, love." Chrysoprase jumps up and takes his hand as he guides her into the dining area.
Amos immediately notices something has changed about those two. But not in a bad way. Immediately suspecting what it may be he smiles to himself. Cedric was his everything and a perfect young man as far as he was concerned. And he'd not have lost him to anyone less than Chrysoprase Lapis who was always there to make his son feel truly appreciated when he needed it. "What would the two of you like to eat.. Maybe.." "Uhm... Maybe I should take over the kitchen. Just as a safety measurement for all of us.", Chrysoprase says, gently coaxing the older man away from the stove to save Cedric and herself from being left in the cold for the night.
She prepares some food that doesn't look nor taste bland because most food she had seen so far was and she brings them a good plate of food each, placing it in front of them. It looks yummy. Really yummy. Sitting together the girl waits for them to take a bite and for their eyes to light up before she too starts eating her favorite comfort food. Pulled chicken with mash, vegetables and some dark sauce. Finally she earns herself praise from both males and bows playfully. "Anytime. Now where do we have to go again?", she asks while making Cedric shrink her backpack in size so she can take it with her because of her lingering paranoia and Amos grins. "Ministers loge of course. But I believe that is thanks to your name I make have let slip to get us there." Chrysoprase sighs and shakes her head amusedly whole Cedric looks at his father in outrage. "It's fine as long they now don't attack me or anything.. Just know that I have not the best relationship with most pureblood families since my parents just kind of burn their wedding contract drafts." "People like Malfoy are trying to marry you?" She blinks up at the tall brunette boy. "Jup. Have been for years. But after what happened they wouldn't dare..." "What what happened?" Right. Cedric still didn't exactly know. He just knew she died..
But he was now her boyfriend. He deserved to know, didn't he?
She sighs softly. "My sister Sapphire who was 8 years older than me committed suicide when she was sixteen because she didn't want to be married off and saw that as her only option. Jumped off our mansions roof.", she simply blurts out, making both males stare at her. Amos opens his mouth but she shakes her head. "No. No condolences needed. It happened and I'm fine. I have her magical portrait at home and it's all good.", she dismisses the notion and both men nod. Not necessarily believing her but understanding that it wasn't a topic to necessarily discuss right before enjoying a good game of Quidditch. "Will you be okay with them potentially being there as well?" "Malfoy and Co? Sure. I actually became friends with Blaise Zabini after running into each other one too many times. And Malfoy will probably be too shocked to open his mouth so I'll be fine. Let's gooo."
