They had taken a seat in the great hall, Chrysoprases head resting against Cedrics shoulder. "I'm so excited.", the girl grins at her boyfriend who places a kiss on her blonde hair that slowly shows her brunette roots. He wraps his arm around her shoulders as they listen closely to the introduction speech by Dumbledore. Soon enough in beautiful, silky blue uniforms the students of Beaux Baton enter, putting on a great show, twirling and dancing, releasing a mass of magical butterflies into the air. With a soft laugh Chrys reaches out to cup one in her hand. It feels warm. Like a small pebble heated by the summer sun. Cedric watches her with a small smile. His interest, unlike most of the other boys and occasionally a few girls, not on the Veelas but on his girlfriend, for the allure of a Veela is truly overwhelming except for those who are already deeply in love. His hand gently brushes through her hair and she gives him a wide smile, opening her palms again. The butterfly rises from her hand and soon lands back on the hair of one of the Veelas. "I'm so bloody fucking pumped right now. I love this sooo much!", the beaming girl whispers to her boyfriend who slaps a hand to his lips as to muffle the laugh leaving his lips.
They applaud respectively. Then the students of Durmstrang enter. Chrys gasps softly as Victor Krum passes by her, his thick coat swaying ever so dramatically. "I really need a long cloak or coat or robes or something. This dramatic flair that Snape and Krum have.. I need that in my life.", Chrys whisper-comments. Cedric snorts and covers it with a desperate cough, hiding his smile with his palm. "You are going mental love." "No regrets here. Not even remotely."

Booing and aggravated yelling fill the room. Just a few moments earlier Bartemius Crouch had announced the new rule that all participants need to be 17 years or older. A halfway relieved sigh leaves Chrys's lips. After all.. that meant there was no chance for her friends in Slytherin to join. So no need to worry about them. Her boyfriend however... was listening very closely and she felt terrified. Drawing a deep breath she closes her eyes for a moment. Cedric was not even remotely like her aunt. No matter what... things would turn out fine.

After the students from the other schools have taken a seat distributed across the different house tables Dumbledore reveals the goblet of fire and announces the rules on how to enter.
Finally they all start chatting with the new arrivals. Two of them being a red haired Veela that has taken a seat right across from Chrysoprase and Cedric next to Nicholas and a Durmstrang male student that sits next to Eleanor both of whom had let the two strangers sit in between them to make them feel more included. "Hi. Welcome to the Hufflepuff house.. for the time being at least. Let me introduce you two to our little group. Cedric Diggory our resident golden boy and one of our prefects so if you need help getting anywhere or any students give you trouble.. just tell any Hufflepuff and we'll get them sooner or later. Eleanor Free. The most lovely person you'll ever meet. Kindness personified. Really. Just make sure to not touch her girlfriend over there and you are as good as siblings to her already. Nicholas Greene. A little flirt with too much sass but he means well and you'll not mind him in any way. Probably. He is also the BEST when it comes to making up something you can 'see' in Divination when you are working on glass balls. So... just ask him if times are dire. Willa Way. Eleanors girlfriend. She is a bit shy but once she warms up to you, she'll make sure you feel included with everything. Samuel Grey. If you ever thought that chivalry has died he'll prove you wrong. If there is truly something like selflessness... he is the definition of it. And he'll stand up for his friends even when they didn't really ask for it. And I am Chrysoprase Lapis." Cedric leans down to her. "Yes. Chrysoprase Lapis. Our best badger. Embodiment of our house principles of loyalty, kindness and fierceness when threatened. Dramatic appearance enthusiast. Clueless jokester. A bit clumsy but still not to be underestimated. The only Hufflepuff I know that gets along marvelously with Slytherins And on top of it all my girlfriend." Chrys flushes and elbows Cedric in the side, making him gasp and the two students chuckle in amusement. "Alexei Iwankow. Polish. Very nice to meet you." He offers the girl his hand that she shakes with a smile. "Estelle Chagny. French, as you could have probably guessed.", the girl introduces herself and Chrys leans over the table to greet her with a hug. "Tell me a bit about that butterfly charm. I loved it!", Chrys grins and the redhaired veela laughs, diving into a conversation with the blonde Hufflepuff while Cedric starts to talk to Alexei. Both quickly feel comfortable in the group and truly enjoy their conversations. "How old are you bunch anyways? I want to know if I have any classes with you.", Estelle asks. "All of us, except for Chrys, are seventeen and in our sixth year. She is fifteen and in her fourth one.", Nicholas answers and Chrys pokes out her tongue at him. "Still I have thrice your wit and intelligence." "Hey!" They all share a laugh. "We are in the same class.", Estelle cheers and grabs Chrys's hands. "Yeeessssss. I can introduce you to all my friends in Slytherin. Pansy is going to LOVE you!", the blonde beams. "I guess I'll be on my own then. I'm in my fifth year.", Alexei sighs playfully. "Oh no. That just won't do. How good exactly are you with mischief?" Cedric facepalms himself. "Oh no." "Oh yes." Alexei raises his eyebrow. "I'd say I'm good enough to exchange every cup on the breakfast tables in Durmstrang with nosebiting teacups." "Oh Helga! And she actually matches him up perfectly!", Cedric groans, not yet ready to forget the chaos the Weasley twins had caused in the Slytherin dungeons a week earlier when they had decided to set loose thirty bleeding dungbombs. Nobody dared to go down there for almost the entire day.

Chrys whistles loudly, gaining the attention of a bunch of other students. "Fred! George! Lee! I think I have found someone you'll get along with perfectly!" The three boys turn around, a mischievous gleam in their eyes. "And who might that be?" "I'd like to present to you: Alexei Iwankow. And if his very impressive pranking history is anything to go by you'll have the time of your life with him. Just don't make me regret introducing him to you." "Oh.." "..Really? A new master of our preferred craft?" "Come and join the big boys then." Alexei barks out a loud laugh and, after squeezing Chrys's hand in a thankful way and sending her a small wink he takes a seat among the trio of chaos gods who immediately question him. "You have doomed us all, Chrys.", Eleanor comments. The girl only shrugs and smiles. "I think it's better this way. I just want everybody to feel welcomed and let's be honest.. Alexei fits right in with the Gryffindors. You could practically feel it oozing out of his every pore that he would be a Gryffindor if he were a Hogwarts student. And the twins and Lee might just be the best company he could ask for." "You really are too adorable to handle sometimes.", Willa says, immediately flushing under Estelles surprised glance. "Your voice is so lovely. Do you sing?" "Used to.. In a wizarding choir.", she mumbles. Estelle compliments her further and slowly but surely the two start talking normally with each other. Willa's cheeks flushed as she passionately tells about her hobby. The listening group exchanges a knowing look. Estelle was practically made to be a member of their little clique.
