Chrysoprase found herself hovering around Cedric more again, since he was desperately trying to figure out the way the damn riddle of the egg was to be answered and she was still terrified of loosing him. Her friends understood her. Draco had eve patted her hair in a gesture that could all but be described as brotherly and told her that they'd be there for her if she needed them and to not stress out too much. Merlin. It were those little things that made her love being friends with the group of Slytherins. She was protective of them and they of her. The best friends anyone could wish for.

"Cedric. You left the damn egg with the chocolate.. Its nasty now." The runny chocolate that had partially burnt to the golden egg really looked anything but appetizing. "Let's go wash it off then."
Taking it into the bathroom they start scrubbing it when suddenly the towel gets stuck and the egg opens. Both flinch, expecting the terrifying screech but nothing. Instead a lovely voice sings from the sink. "Helga! We did it!!!", Chrys cheers and finds herself being swiped up in the arms of her boyfriend who deeply kisses her, squeezes her to his chest and then lets out a laugh. "You truly are an angel.", he grins. They close the egg again. "In the black lake, huh? Do you already have an idea on how to breathe an hour underwater?", Chrys asks. Cedric blinks. "Not really" "Ever heard of the Bubblehead charm? When my parents took me to Greece we went diving and the diving instructors had us use that charm." "Do you still know how to cast it?" "That I do. And you have a large bathtub to practice it." Cedric laughs softly. "What would I do without you?" "I don't know. But I know that without you I'd be lost." They stay wrapped up in each others arms there for a good long while. It simply felt right. She had missed this. He was always busy with those tasks. But right now there he was. "Chrys?" "Yes?" "Are you coming? We have a charm to practice." "Wait.. Are you.." Cedric grabs two towels and her, then pulls her away to the prefects bathroom and inside, locking the door behind them.

When she had been asked to come to the headmasters office while chatting with Eleanor. "If I drink this tea I'll be fine in the lake?" "You know the task, Miss Lapis?", Dumbledore asks surprised. "I was with Cedric when we solved it on accident."
The wizard nods. The girl takes a deep breath to calm her nerves and drinks the tea, soon drifting under.

The next thing she knows she breaks the water surface. It's freezing cold. A cough leaves her lips and she spits out the lake water, swimming blindly into the direction she is lead to. "Climb up that ladder.", Cedric tells her. She does and then quickly reaches for him, pressing a kiss to his wet face. Wrapping herself up in towels she makes sure that he does so as well. Wrapped up in multiple towels. "First place, Cedric!", she laughs, as Krum emerges with Hermione from the murky water. It felt kind of pathetic that he cared the most for Hermione whom he only met here in Hogwarts but non the less.. She simply takes to watching Cedric. "You look beautiful, even underwater. Did anyone ever tell you that?", Cedric asks and Chrys laughs. "You did. Twice now." He grins and kisses her lips for a second. After a while finally the two last hostages surface and then Potter. Chrys watches Cedric with a smile on her lips as he is announced as the winner. The others don't matter. At all. At least not to her. As long as Cedric was right there with her, alive and well everything was alright.
"Come on, love. I'll carry you back to the castle. You need a warm bath or shower and some dry clothes.", Cedric tells her. Knowing him, protesting was useless so, she simply submits to him and gets onto her feet, then raises up her arms for him to lift her up and her to wrap them around his neck.
People are congratulating him every few steps and he accepts them all, yet still doesn't linger.
He had some ideas to make into reality and he would most definitely prefer them over whatever those people had to offer.
