Chrys was shaking in her boots as she watches in horror at what the first task was to be. Dragons. Bleeding, firebreathing, scaly dragons!
Estelle and Eleanor had taken to sitting with her, each squeezing one of her shaking hands.
An XXXXX level creature in their school. And HER CEDRIC was about to FACE IT. As the first one up non the less.

The swedish short-snout is roaring in it's chain, curling around the golden egg it was handed for it to protect.
"I can't even put into words how terrified I am right now.", Eleanor says softly, but only Estelle really notices at all. "If you are already struggling.. imagine how she is right now.", she answers in a hushed tone. Chrysoprase has frozen solid in fear and worry, her hands clutching onto those of her friends.
"I love him so much. I can't loose him. I can't loose him. I can't loose him.", the blonde chants in her mind. She had lost one person she loved wholeheartedly already. If she were to also loose Cedric.. Helga. She couldn't even imagine what would happen.
As the canon fires and the crowd starts cheering his name she holds on even tighter to her friends hands. It hurts like hell. But both of them take it without a word. What Chrys was feeling that moment must be worse.

Cedric walks out and immediately goes to seek cover.
The dragon breathes fire onto the boulder he is hiding behind.
A whimper leaves Chrys's lips.

Just a moment later Cedric has transfigured a boulder into a labrador.
The dragon fixes it's attention on the dog, chasing after it. Taking his chance Cedric dives for the egg.
"WATCH OUT!!!" Chrys's voice cries out over the other voices and just barely in time Cedric drops to the ground, only burning his face, not his entire body.
The blonde girl is already on her feet and makes her way down to the tent where madame Pomfrey was to be treating those injured while a certain group of Slytherins looks after her worriedly. Despite how tough Chrysoprase may be when it came to defending those she loved.. she was still as vulnerable as a newborn. And she truly Loved Cedric.
Rushing inside she hastily makes her way to the occupied bed the matron is currently busying herself over. The girl finally reaches her boyfriends bedside. "Miss Lapis! You really shouldn't.." The nurse stops herself in mid sentence when she sees the distressed state of the girl. Remembering the history of the Lapis family she quietly accepts that the blonde would just be there. "You really saved me there.", Cedric smiles over the searing pain, taking her hand. She brings it to her lips, before pressing her cheek into his palm, closing her eyes and just letting go. Tears of relief drip from her eyes. The matron nods to herself. It was the right decision to let the girl stay. Merlin knows she'd probably drive herself so insane she'd land herself in the hospital as well. Pomfrey simply applies the orange paste to Cedric Diggory's singed flesh, while he is busy stroking his girlfriends cheek to calm her down.
"I thought I'd pass out. I was so worried, Cedric.", the girl finally breaks the silence.
"I have you as my guardian angel, love. Nothing will happen to me. Just you watch. I'll win this and we'll be on the first page of the daily prophet together. Now come here so I can kiss those tears away." Sniffing a bit, she moves closer and accepts his affections, returning them with her own. He slides a bit to the side, making space for her and pulls her to lay snug against his side that wasn't burned and she buries her face in his shirt, breathing in his familiar scent, hidden underneath the smoke and biting scent of singed skin and hair. She takes a deep, shuddering breath. "Never leave me, Cedric. Promise me you'll never leave me."
"I promise. I'll always be there, waiting for you." Her eyes look up at him. "I love you. Thank you for being all that I ever really missed." "I love you too." Closing her eyes again the girl finally passes out and Cedric just brushes through her hair, enjoying her closeness and her fresh scent that always reminded him of spring, silently thanking Madam Pomfrey for placing a noise cancelling charm around them so she could peacefully fall asleep. He watches as Harry Potter arrives with a multitude of scratches, bruises and lacerations. He silently greets him with a small nod. Harry points at Chrysoprase in confusion. "She was worried sick.", Cedric mouths to him, before returning to comforting the girl. "You really love her, huh..", Harry mouths to him and Cedric smiles slightly and nods. And Harry understands. Godrick.. If only Cho felt like this for him. But no.. It had to be bloody Nicholas Greene. Stepping away to be treated by Madame Pomfrey he keeps his thoughts to himself. But one thing he was certain of: Even if he and Chrysoprase didn't get along anymore and she hung out with Slytherins.. She loved Cedric Diggory with all her heart. And Cedric was as good as one can be. She would never become a deatheater. Not even if hell were to freeze over.
