"Come on. I need to introduce you to my friends.", Chrys grins, holding Estelles hand, dragging the girl through the hallway, not caring about pushing other students out of their way. Estelle laughs. The Veelas hair is put up in a messy bun, much like that of Chrys since the Hufflepuff insisted to the redhead that noone would particularly care if she were perfectly put together or not.
They burst out into the courtyard where she was to meet the Slytherin clique after a long morning of classes with a complete and utter lack of them and an overdosis of Gryffindors.
"Blaise!!!!" The boy turns around just in time to be almost tackled by the blonde who just decided jumping into his arms would be a good idea. He spins her once and sets her down, giving her a small smile. "Who is this?" "Guys.. meet Estelle Chagny. Estelle? This is Blaise Zabini. My best friend and just the best person in general. Even if he doesn't look the part." "HEY!" Undisturbed by Blaises protests and Estelle's giggle Chrys continues. "This is Draco Malfoy, our resident Slytherin Prince." The blond boy laughs. "Is that what people call me?" "Maybe.. If they do you don't know it from me. Anyway. This is Theodore Nott. Not one for expression of emotions but intimidatingly intelligent." The boy shrugs, admitting to it. "This lovely lady here is Pansy Parkinson. Since you are not one for constant gossip I think you'll get along perfectly." "Come here and let me love you!", Pansy dramatically exclaims, making Estelle laugh, her eyes sparkling in honest joy. "And these are Gregory Goyle and Vincent Crabbe. Not the smartest fellas but they are great friends non the less." The two large boys offer a lovestruck nod. "Your introductions honestly are the best part every time.", Estelle giggles. "Well... Almost any friend of Chrys is a friend of mine. Welcome... welcome... We maaaay not be the best choice in company if you planned to make friends with anyone aside of Chrys's friend circle but we'll be a choice anyway.", Theo says, a note of his usual sarcasm sprinkled into his words.
Estelle raises her eyebrows. "What do you mean?" "Slytherins are usually regarded as wholeheartedly evil, vile people because of the history of the house and its association with You-Know-Who. Therefore I am not extremely popular amongst other houses for my choice in friends. Especially with Gryffindors I get into a lot of fights about them. But honestly.. they are just people and if any of those idiots would care enough to get to know them they'd know that if any of them were ever to join You-Know-Who's forces it would be unwillingly.", Chrys says, rolling her eyes and gently squeezing Dracos hand as she notices the boy freezing up. He sends her a small grateful glance. "I will honestly fight anyone who dares to say anything bad about either you or your friends.", Estelle decides. "Anyways.. Have you already been told that there will be a ball?", Pansy asks. "Wait.. A ball? With dancing and stuff?" "Yes. Exactly that." Chrys groans. "I really haven't missed those.. My feet are always sore afterwards." "Hey Estelle.. want to go there together?" They all look at Theo who looks completely stoic, despite what he just said. The veela lights up. "I'd love to! At least it won't be some slimy git then." Chrys casts a glance at Theo while Pansy just gestures behind his back that he 'is totally into Estelle', making the Hufflepuff crack a stupid smile and Estelle flush and giggle. He raises an eyebrow and snaps around, catching Pansy as she draws glittering hearts into the air behind him. She freezes up, then bolts with Theo hot on her trail, while they all share a good laugh. Chrys holds onto her two male friends to not topple over from laughter. Her eyes glowing. She really loved being together with them. It always made her forget everything she was worrying about. At least for a little moment."Come on. Throw it in Ced!", Nicholas cheers and Chrys only clutches onto Estelle's hand as she watches her boyfriend toss a note with his name into the fire.
She hated her friends for not stopping him. But she knows he wouldn't have been able to stop him either. Not when his eyes glow like they do right then and there. He always liked to say that Hufflepuff deserves more recognition. And Chrys would second that in a heartbeat. But she didn't want to even begin imagining what could happen if Cedric was chosen. He walks up to her, cups her cheek and for the moment he kisses away all her worries while the Veela next to her excitedly squeals. "Will you go to the ball with me?", Cedric asks her. "Of course I will." "Hey Estelle. Want to be my date?", Nicholas asks the Veela with a smirk, trying to even come close to the romantic standarts of Cedric. "I already said yes to Theo. Sorry Nick.", she says. The boy sighs something about all the good ones being taken. "I'd ask Pansy for you but she is going with Blaise as friends." "As friends? Are you sure?" "Pansy likes girls.. Nick.", Chrys says, making him shake his head. "You really befriend a lot of lesbians, Chrys. Three out of four." The girl laughs. "Actually.. I wouldn't mind either. Boy or girl. So its sort of a four out of four.", Estelle says. The boy facepalms and just walks away, leaving his friends to laugh.
Chrys leans into her boyfriend. She really hopes he wouldn't be chosen.
