Chapter Six

The next morning you begin the day as normal. Slipping out as early as you can, taking the long way to school, stopping at your locker to stall in time.

"Well look who it is." Letting out a gasp you turn to see Thomas and Minho behind you.

And, as always, you cast down your eyes and bite your lip.

"Ya know (y/n), you have such pretty (e/c) eyes, it's a shame no one ever sees them." You blush and turn back to your locker, taking a deep breath.

"Okay, listen up we know your scared, which is why you didn't go to the library yesterday, but you need to get over. Newt was pretty upset you didn't show yesterday, but he's not giving up." Thomas says.

"Newt really cares for you, and frankly,

You care for him. Its pretty obvious. Newt was ready to take a step, however small, yesterday. We warned you, ass is only fair, and you skipped out. Now he decided to go to the library again today, and if you skip out again, we won't earn you anymore. Newt won't give up on you, but we're going to stop warning you if you don't meet him today." Minho says.

You feel elated. Someone noticed you! And he actually seemed to care! But all too soon you frown, isn't that what you were avoiding? Having someone get involved in your life wouldn't work. You just aren't meant for a relationship.

Taking a deep breath you turn back around to face Thomas and Minho. "I- I don't think I can...." Your heart is breaking as these word come out of your mouth, so you close your locker and rush to the bathroom.

Always taking the cowards way out, you're disgusted with yourself, but then the bell rings, so you take a deep breath, hide your tears and you bruises and head out to another day of school.
