As the bell rings you manage to slip out of the bathroom and head to your next class unnoticed. Your head is still throbbing with every movement. Sighing, you look to the ground and walk to your next class. Extremely alone and extremely sad.

A while later lunch starts. And you hide in the bathroom. You're a pathetic little coward. You're worried Newt will notice the slight red tint in your hair left from the blood.

But you want him to notice. You want him to care. You want to pour out your heart and soul to him and have him pull you out of this mess. You want to let him in. You want to talk to him. You want to see him. And you want him to see you. For who you are. Because no one else does.

But you can't. There's no telling what will happen if anyone finds out. And you certainly can't have a boyfriend. You're not the right material. You have too much baggage that would come along with a relationship to even consider having a boyfriend. But you do anyway. And you feel like an idiot for it.

Sooner or later, the lunch bell rings, and you get to head to your next class. Sighing, you let your (h/c) hair fall over your face before walking out of the bathroom doors.

Before you get to your next class, you feel somebody grab your hand, and pull you into an empty classroom. Letting out a small squeal, you struggle, much to the pain of your head and your bruises, until you realize who it is.

It's Newt.

"(y/n)! Are you okay?" He asks, genuine concern in his eyes.

No one has ever cared before. It's almost enough to bring you to tears, but you've been trained too well to let anyone see you cry.

"Yeah, I'm fine." You respond in your usual quiet voice, and then you try to slip out of the room. Newt reaches forward and grabs your hand, your heart nearly explodes at the contact.

You don't remember touching many people who cared for you.

"(y/n), really? Are you sure your okay? I didn't see you this morning and I was worried."

"I'm fine. I just slept in." You say, and manage to slip out of the classroom leaving Newt behind.

You can't regret it though, even though you do. You just don't want him involved. He can't be involved. It would hurt him to bad. So, with your heart shattering, you walk away from him. You walk away from Newt.
