I walk to my bus stop and went to school. As soon as I saw Melanie I ran to her, "Melanie, you will not fucking believe what happened to me last night!" Running past my ex, Reggie, he tries to hold me, but I was too fast for his grasp.
"I can not believe what happened to me last night, it was the most so crazy." She starts to laugh, "Then stop freaking out and tell me!"
"I am walking home on the phone with you and you hung up on me. These guys were running from the police and passed me a wrapped package of some tree. Telling me to give it to them today in the same spot that they gave it to me at." She looked at me in disbelief and shook her head.
"Stop lying Genni, it's not funny." I pulled her to the side and showed her the package and the smell brushed past her nose as you can tell on her face.
"Why would you bring this shit to school?" I gave her the straightest face.
"Mel, leaving this in my house is worse than bringing this to school and I am meeting them after school anyways. Coming over?" I grabbed her hand.
"Yeah, sure might be cute who knows?" She shrugged her shoulders as I rolled my eyes and laughed. She walked me to class, just as Reggie tries to grab my hand and bumps Melanie while chuckling.
"Reggie, I will beat your ass. Don't get hurt boy." Reggie brushed her off as she pushed him out the way and guides me to class before she made a scene.
"Disrespectful piece of shit, you treated her like nothing but now you acting brand new. Fuck out of here with that. Annoying ass."
I start snickering, "Yo Mel, stop cussing so much!" I bursted out in laughter. She rolled her eyes and walked to class.
I went through the whole school day nervous to go to my house only to see two wannabes selling drugs. I rolled my eyes at the thought and walked with Melanie to my bus. We both sat as she began scroll through Instagram and watch Yung Poppy's skits. I began to think about all the possibilities that could happen with this package in my bag, but all I wanted to do is get the damn package out of my bag. The whole day I felt watched over and I felt like someone has been watching the back of me the whole time. As if someone was staring at the back of my neck every waking second.
I walked out of my bus with Melanie side by side, hoping to never see them again and throw this thing out to never think about that night ever again. We walked to the spot and waiting about thirty five minutes for them.
"Where are they, the fuck?" I shrug my shoulders and chew a piece of gum, chewing my irritation away slowly.
"Aye Shawdy is here Vin." These 5'10-5'11 boys come walking towards Mel and I, my heart rate speeds out of control.
Mel looks at me and whispers damn as they approached us. "You didn't open it right?" He said in a rude tone.
"Why would I want to open weed? Just take it and go our separate ways." I passed it over to him and one of them begin to stare into my eyes, his golden yellow hazel eyes meeting my dark brown ones.
"What's your name?" He asked me, as Josh looks at him puzzled.
"Who's asking?" I looked at him up and down as Melanie elbows me in the shoulder.
"I was only asking, I'm Vincent. This is Josh." He bites his lip at me, I rolled my eyes.
"I'm Givoanna. This is Melanie." Melanie waves as Josh smiles widely at her.
"Well, goodbye now." I grabbed Melanie as her and Josh stood there making eye contact, Vincent tried to do the same with me. Mel pushes me back and walks along Josh as I walked back to my house.
"Wait, Nova." Vincent runs towards me.
"Don't call me that, I don't know you." I began to pick up my pace.
"Alright then, Givoanna. I apologize. But, can I simply ask you a question?" He smirks at me, when all I really wanted to do was smack that smirk right off.
"What?" I say coldly.
"What did you think about when we gave you that package?" He asked, kind of sounding sincere.
"What the fuck. That's what I thought." I walked away as I called Mel to hurry up to find her and Josh smiling at each other.
She picks up her pace and walks next to me, blushing. I pushed her and she laughs.
I brush past her as we got inside my house, "Is someone in their feelings or nah?" I glared at her when she puts her hands up.
"Mel, you left me for some dude. He's a runaway criminal and you're talking to him like it's nothing." She rolls her eyes at me.
"Yes, and? I talked to him so what? Lighten up Genni, you know damn well Vincent was cute anyways." She smirks at me as I turn my head.
"So? Guys like him don't do girls like me anyways. No chance what so ever. He does have some really beautiful eyes though.." I drove off into my thinking of him as I didn't hear the microwave beeping for the past two minutes and Mel calling my name.
