Coming to a halt back at the atrium, i turned to my vampire escorts "Thank you gentlemen for your service. Can i please have privacy to shift back into my skin?"

Nigel spoke first with a slight accent "Yes of course princess, Mack lets giver her time. However when you are ready we will bring you back to your room to get dressed for dinner."

I smiled sweetly and thanked him, i was trying to be as formal as i could. I remembered my mother speaking about how the royal family in this coven was very old school.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath imagining my blonde hair and slight tan skin as i felt my fur receding along with my bones readjusting to my human form.  When the transformation was finished i slid back into my corset and jeans "Alright gentlemen i am ready. Lead the way"

Nigels blonde hair shook as he nodded to me. "Right this way princess." We began walking into the main part of the castle, i followed him to the large staircase looking around at the different mideavil decor.

"Nigel, may i ask you a question?" he hummed thoughtfully as we continued to climb the steps.

"So, do you all have a mate or do you just use chamber maids for your reproduction?" I must have struck a nerve because he stilled at my request and gripped the banister tightly.

Mack answered much to my surprise as he seemed extra quiet "No, princess. Not all of agree with the kings ruling of chamber maids. Most of us do have mates and we respect them." He turned his expression hard as i followed them up the stairs again.

"I am sorry if i overstepped. I was just curious because Prince Sebastian says i am his and i wanted to know if he felt the same."

I looked down and felt guilty for asking the question but i had to know, i would rather anger them than Sebastian. After he told me he was a Hybrid it made me nervous to be around him, what if he lost control of his wolf and marked me or something. He was convinced i was his, i would tell him after dinner that i already found my mate but that it did not matter. The alpha games would decide who my mate would be.

"It's fine princess, i am not sure of you belonging to Prince Sebastian but i have never known him to lie. He is an honest and strong leader." His voice lowered to a whisper as he got closer to me "we are eager for his rule over our kind. His father is a ruthless killer and is the reason we have chamber maids."

I gasped but quickly covered it with a cough as i continued to follow them in silence now. My mind wondered to my parents and pack. I am sure they had already been frantically searching for me, i felt guilt swell up inside of me at thinking taking my own life would not have effected them.

I was nervous to talk with my father this evening. Sadie stirred in my mind as well, she sent calming words to me but it did not ease me. I knew he would be overly furious especially since i was going to tell him i needed to stay for a little while to clear my head. I was not ready to face Max yet, i was afraid i would kill him or Vicky if i seen them touching.

My heart ached at the thought and i sighed . "Princess we are here." Nigel's voice startled me, i guess i was to deep in thought to realize we had made it to my room. I thanked them as i crossed over the threshold to my space. The door closed at the footsteps disappeared down the hallway.

I felt guilty again for my question. I felt i could ask them though since my whole run they talked and made jokes to me, i couldn't respond with the link as i wasn't part of their coven. I did wolf laugh a few times though, the two vampires where pretty cool i must admit. Sadie seemed to like them as well.

I opened the window and looked out over the scenery outside, rows of grapevines met the orange and yellow of the hills. I thought of how my mother would love this view, she had told me the best wines came from here. She would never tell my father but she would order them in bulk and have them sent to one of the shops in town where her friend worked.
