Chapter 59- A Marked Mess

I was stunned to say the least, my body ached and i could feel the pull already in my soul. I growled in annoyance, this is just what i needed now. Of course my plans couldn't go smoothly for once. I was drowning in my self pity and hadn't realized my parents re-enter the room until my mothers hand on my uninjured shoulder shook me from my inner turmoil. 

"Sarah, how are you feeling?" she asked just barely above a whisper, i looked up at her and i could feel Sadie pacing behind my eyes. My mother's wolf mirrored mine as she paced, i knew she was stressed as her pup was hurting and she didn't know how to help. 

My gaze wondered to my dad who wore an angry scowl but once he noticed me he softened as he came over to me and kissed my forehead in comfort. I shook my head still not answering my mother, i knew i needed to talk but what was there to say now. 

"Sarah, did--" i cut my mother off with a growl. "Yes i damn well heard him, i am marked now and this whole ordeal is a war in waiting" I couldn't contain my fury any longer i ripped the IV from my arms and pushed my mother from my bedside as i moved to leave the bed. 

When my feet touched the floor i swayed and sat back on my bed cradling my face in my hands as the tears blurred my vision. "What is going to happen now" i managed to ask through my blubbering as i attempted to wipe the tears from my eyes. My mother took me into her arms as i sobbed, i let her comfort me, i needed it. 

My father growled loudly "well we must speak with the council first. This has never happened before, well not this kind of forced marking. Im going to make a few calls, try and rest troublemaker." He smiled slightly and patted my back as he left the room. 

"Come on sweetie lets get you cleaned up while we wait" mother was helping me to the en-suite bathroom while i gripped her shoulder for support. My legs felt shakily and my breathing was heavy, i knew i had lost alot of blood from the crimson red dress that was once white as snow.

She set me on the toilet lid while she turned on the dingy shower, the bathroom was old school small yellow square tile and reminded me that this infact wasn't a dream. Max had marked me and i was in the infirmary from the flesh being torn from me after he was tackled. My shoulder and neck where stiff and any movement made me feel like the flesh was being torn again.

I shivered remembering the dangerous glint in his eyes as he attacked me, i could feel him. "Sarah, i need you to shift into Sadie. She will trigger your healing faster and we need to get you cleaned up." she motioned for me to strip and i sighed still holding the wall close to me for support as i dragged the soaked garment over my head. 

It made a sloshing sound as it hit the tile and i cringed, I stumbled a little as i took the panties off and mother caught me as i slid to the floor. Tears pooled in my eyes as i looked up at her " Mom i am scared. What if i shift and Sadie takes over and goes to find Max because of the bond." I had never admitted my fears aloud but i needed my moms reassurance to me.

"Sarah, it is all going to work out. she won't go anywhere but into this shower." she gave me a smile as she continued " do you remember when you where little and Maria and I had to bath the twins and you outside in wolf form?" I gave a small chuckle at the memory, our mothers where furious at us as we had all found the biggest mud pit we could and wrestled in it. Our fur was matted in sticks and leaves with the mud making it feel glued on. We looked like feral barbarians but it was the most fun we had ever had, pinning each other down and slipping around. 

We all had been sliding so much that we couldn't get a grip to have the other submit and ended our time with a unanimous agreement of tied. "You were the ring leader to the trouble, i know it." she laughed."Now just like then Sadie obeyed to stay while i scrubbed and she will again, trust her Sarah she wont let you down. Your wolf is apart of you and would do anything to keep you safe and happy, you should know this by now honey. "
