Chapter 45- Bonding Moment

The ride back to barn was a slow one, we enjoyed the scenery and i kept focus on the breathing of my mare. I missed this so much, how could i ever go home after this. The feeling of her moving under me with the breeze in my hair made me smile. 

This was the best alternative to being a wolf running through the trees. 

'HEY.. IM RIGHT HERE. DONT TELL ME YOUR TRADING ME IN FOR THIS OVERGROWN COW THING'

I laughed at her jealousy 'Oh Sadie, of course not! You will always be my favorite. You are a part of me. 

'DAMN STRAIGHT I AM' She huffed in my mind

"You okay Sarah?"Sebastian pulled me from my daydreams. 

"Yes i am more that okay! Sebastian thank you so much, you don't realize how much fun i had today. I used to take lessons when i was a child. My parents insisted once i started shifting that i needed to stop since the horses would be startled at my new senses. I always used to beg for a horse too, my parents claimed i couldn't have one because our wolves might see them as prey."

He laughed next to me and patted his stud"Yeah i would hate to have to clean up the mess if one lost control." 

I patted Mystic on the neck as we neared the barn, i stopped her and slid off. Once my feet hit the ground she nuzzled me as i hugged her. I whispered "Thank you girl for a wonderful ride." 

I looked over to see Sebastian staring at me. "What are you looking at Seb?" 

He shook his head at me. "I was just thinking how beautiful you look when you smile. " 

I looked away from him, oh flattery, he is working it overtime. I should just stay red like a lobster since he continues to make me blush anyway. 

We walked our horses into the barn and unsaddled them. Sebastian left to stall his horse as i took my time enjoying the smell and the sound of her breathing.  I started to sing as i brushed Mystic's coat clean, Taylor swifts civil war was stuck in my head after this morning.

"That was beautiful, did you write that?" Sebastian startled me making me drop my brush and Mystic snorted. 

I cleared my throat "No. hmm that is a song by Taylor Swift, she is one of my favorite artists. Its also from the Hunger games movie." 

He nodded as he walked over patting Mystic on the neck "Well if you are finished lets get her put away and we can head back to the palace and get some dinner."

"Oh okay, " i kissed her head again as i led her back to her stall. Closing the gate, i latched it and placed my hands on the bars. "Goodnight girl" i whispered to her as i turned and followed Sebastian from the barn.
