Chapter 58 Meet and Greet

" Sarah honey, its time to get up!" My mothers softly patted my leg as it hung out from under my blanket. I groaned and pulled the blankets higher over me as i snuggled deeper in the bedding.   "Sarah Ellingford, don't make me tell you again or i am getting a glass of water to pour over you." She swatted my butt with her hand and i jumped.

It has been a long time since my mother had woken me up,  not since i was a teenager at least. I was never a morning person and most were scared to wake me, not her. My mother was a scary beast when she wanted to be, no wonder my dad bowed to her. 

I peeked out from the blankets and smiled at her widely and lounged at her grabbing her wrist and pulling her down into the bed with me. She squealed as she landed and we burst out laughing although she swatted at me i moved quickly to avoid her strikes. 

" Good morning mom. To what do i owe the pleasure of you awakening me so early for? Even my curtains are protesting, look how tight they are shielding the sun!" I spoke though my yawn, stretching my arms high above my head.

She laughs again " Oh honey, today is Monday. We have many things to do today and starting with you getting up." She stands and heads to the bathroom and i can hear her muttering to herself as the hangers slide along the railing.

Realization dawns on me, Its Monday, Freaking Monday! I jump up and head to the bathroom to get ready for the day. Today is the first day of the Alpha Games and Lycans of every rank will be arriving in a few hours, tonight is the first official dinner to welcome everyone and throughout the day i have to follow my parents like a puppy to greet everyone as they arrive. 

Finishing my bathroom duties i get dressed in the white lace dress with off the shoulder ruffles mom picked out, everything for this next week will be white. 'TO show your purity' my mother had explained while she organized them in my closet for everyday this week. 

"Meet us in the dining hall for the list of preparations that have been made along with our schedule." I groaned at her but knew there was no avoiding it, she had made it clear over the last few lessons I had been enduring for Luna Queen training that we where in charge of the parties and greetings. I fought hard against my instinct to tell her i was going to be an Alpha queen not a luna but knew it wouldn't do any good.

I quickly curled my hair and let it hang down over my ruffled sleeves and slipped on a pair of nude flat sandals so that while i run crazy today i wont fall. I rushed down the steps and met the packs chatter in the dining hall, multiple greeting of 'good morning princess' and 'are you excited' were getting old quickly.

'WELL I AM EXCITED, WE WILL HAVE A MATE BY THE END OF THE WEEK' Sadie yipped in my head. I laughed at her enthusiasm, she was like a kid on Christmas morning and the males where her presents awaiting to be opened.

"Good morning Ice wolves pack! today marks a change in history for us all and i couldn't be happier for my troublemaker. Everyone listen closely to your jobs for today and make sure to be courteous along with alert to our fellow Lycans coming in today." My father began as mom quickly interjected as the chatter stopped and forks placed neatly by their plates.

She listed out each family's job the males of Betas, Gammas and warriors would keep security tight while she and the beta female welcomed families and distributed the the intake of new lycans to their respected rooms. The deltas would make sure all the rooms and facilities where in tip top shape and had plenty of stock in all spaces. 

I was beginning to show my boredom as Sophie elbowed me " Sar your face, fix it before mom sees" she whispered and hid her giggle. I straightened up quickly and refocused to hear her ending list of who was cooking what each night and where the tents for our guest would be set up by color along the arena.
