I stayed in that windowsill until the bright yellowing of the sun reflecting over the vast hills and fields dissipated. I wanted to spend the rest of my days here every evening, the view was spectacular. It did give me a twinge missing home from and not being able to see the lake or snow but this was beautiful non the less.
"My queen are you ready to eat. Wow, You look stunning." Sebastian called out to me as his loafers clicked on the hardwood floor. I turned, pulling my feet back inside the window taking in his features. The dark eyes and dark hair, he was the definition of tall dark and handsome. I couldn't help comparing him to Kalil.
'IF THAT IS OUR MATES NAME' Sadie huffed in my head. i could feel her frustration, we both felt lost when it came to him. Something about Sebastian did seem familiar maybe it was his dark eyes.
He outstretched his hand for me to take as he slightly bowed to me. I smirked at him, this was definitely formal. I took his hand and the familiar tingles sparked along my skin. I didn't know if i would ever get used to this, then again there wasn't like i could compare this to my true mate. I was just guessing his name, all did know was he was an alpha in the Mountain pack.
I shook my head to clear the negative thoughts swirling in my brain and allowed him to pull me down the hallway. "my queen are you alright? you seem troubled." Sebastian's velvet voice sent a pleasant breeze over my shoulder.
I cleared my throat "Yes, i am okay. I am nervous about meeting your father however. I have heard he is the reason behind the Chamber maids policy and i do not approve." I scowled thinking of poor Izzy.
He hummed next to me "Well i do not approve either, however until i challenge for the throne there is not much i can do to change it, i can only voice my displeasure on the matter."
I huffed at him but kept silent there was so much more i felt i needed to learn from him. Once down the steps he lead me into a large archway that held a long table. There where many vampires seated at the table i could smell there ocean smell along with the hint of oyster and i tried to keep the grimace from my face and turned my head to bury my head into Sebastian's shoulder to take in his rose and lavender.
I still haven't gotten to ask him why he smelled nothing like the others, another question to ask later i thought inwardly. He seemed to shudder when i snuggled closer to him, i would explain my sudden attachment later and hoped he didn't read to much into it now.
A throat clearing jerked my head from his shoulder to search the room for the sound. My eyes met a deep scarlet colored ones glaring at me. Great i thought this must be the evil king everyone talks about. Sebastian stopped us at the side of the table closest to the red eyes.
He pulled my chair out for me and i thanked him as i took a seat. "King Joel, father this is Princess Sarah Ellingford of the Ice wolves Pack." Sebastian introduced me and i held my hand out to shake his hand over the table. When he just stared at me i pulled my hand back slowly and placed them in my lap.
Sebastian leaned over and brushed his hand with mine "Don't worry about him, hes always this way." I nodded to his words but held the kings stare. I refused to back down and cower like the rest of the group. My alpha blood refused to bow, especially to a despicable entity as him.
Joel smirked amused at me and Sadie whined in my head "HE IS PURE EVIL SARAH, BE CAREFUL AROUND HIM. HIS AURA IS AS DARK AS THE BLACKOUT DAYS IN ALASKA."
"Welcome to Arcadiana Sarah, should you need anything during your stay please let me know, personally." He added the last part with a broader smirk, a creepy shiver went down my spine. He reminded me of the sickening looks the Beta used to give me. Sadie laughed in my head as she sent a picture through of his balls in my hand.
