Here's one for you Players whom's DM's will allow you to play as monster species.

The Player is a reformed x (fiends, undead & criminals are recommended), & they wish to make amends with the world by going around & alleviating it's problems. The people may look down on them at first, but with time, & hard work they will be on of the most well liked people in the community.
