Here's one for you DM's that want your players to be in a funny situation

The players received mail from a 'great inventor' saying there invited to see his great new inventions. After going there they find out that all his great new invention are stuff that already exists in the world, long before the inventor existed. IF anyone tells him this he will be admit that they are wrong & are also idiots.
