As I completed half of an entry, a knock on my door alerted me. I close the journal quick and snuck it back in my bag, placing it in the closet. Grabbing the room key, I slipped it into my back pocket before answering.

Opening the door, I was greeted by Taehyung dressed in a pair of black jeans and long sleeved black shirt. His smile twinkled in the lighting from the hotel corridor.

"You're not Yoongi." I crossed my arms and leaned against my doorframe, teasing him.

His smile grew wider. "He had some things to take care of."

"Hmm...I don't think he likes me anyway." I admitted but felt a bit guilty once the words exited my lips.

Taehyung grinned. "Pfft, nonsense. Yoongi likes you. He's just...ah! Nevermind. We need to get going."

Curiosity strikes again but I will let it slide.

After a quiet ride on the elevator, I followed Taehyung out to the exit and into a car that waited for us.

This island was a living, breathing canvas. The atmosphere was so picturesque, my entire gaze couldn't even begin to soak it all.

"It's beautiful here. The scenery...I can't stop looking at it." I was in such awe that I wasn't aware how spoke my thoughts aloud, even then it didn't tear me away.

"Neither can I."

I lost my breath from hearing the way his accent slurred, coiled with his already heavy voice that still jarred the reality in me that we are in fact meeting and hanging out.

What shook me even more was the distance of his voice. Though we were separated by a middle seat, he sounded so much closer than he was and that's when I glanced in my peripheral to barely see him staring toward at me.

My lips parted but I closed them just as quick as they opened. My brother's voice merged into my conscience, taunting me until I cursed it to silence.

"We're here." He spoke again but his voice seemed further away now.

Maybe I just imagined that whole scene. How stupid to think that his definition of scenery in that moment was somehow directed to me?

Don't be stupid Kye.

We exited the car and was greeted by our guide for the late afternoon. Taehyung did most of the talking while I listened and observed his interactions.

I found myself in awe again.

I'm not sure why but watching Taehyung and comparing him to the personality I've been trying to get a handle on all these years was like watching a flower blossoming in the sun. When it's reached it's maturity and the petals unfold seeing the light of day for the first time. Eyeing his gestures and listening to his much improved English made me almost feel...proud. Because of a class assignment from high school, this what has been birthed.

I admired this scenery as well.

"Kye?"

Taehyung called as my eyes fluttered to focus on him and the guide who stared at me.

"Are you okay?" His brows perched in worry.

"Y-Yeah. I'm good! I'm ready!" I smiled wide and perked, pumping my fists in excitement.

Inside I was a volcano of nerves, ready to erupt at any given moment.

The guide led us to the horses and my heart sank on instant. I engaged in a tender stare with the most beguiling ebony colored horse I've ever seen. It's mane was slightly crimped as it flowed down the side. I was so enthralled by it's splendor, I didn't even realize that I was inching closer to it and before I knew it, my hand lightly brushed it's side.
