Evening has come and the rain has ceased.
Taehyung left hours ago after our lunch but he assured me that the rain would be gone tonight and we would be able to sail back to Maui tomorrow. Upon his departure I was able to record our day and quite the day it was.
After I was done, I slipped the journal into my bag and brought out my dress that I arrived in. I also gathered the other clothes given to me for our time here and placed them back where I found them. Yoongi has already informed me to leave the clothes here and he will take care of them.
My stomach made a loud growl and I looked at the clock, realizing I hadn't had dinner yet. I began to wonder the same for Taehyung and Yoongi .
I called the front desk to see if they could recommend a really good local restaurant with delivery. They were kind enough to adhere to my request and I made the call. I placed an order and waited.
Around thirty minutes later, they arrived with the delivery. I grabbed some cash from my wallet and received my order before asking them to follow me down the hall.
I knocked on the door that I'm sure I saw him go in before, hoping not to make myself look like a fool in front of this stranger.
Taehyung answered the door, smiling on instant when he saw me. I must have caught him in a moment of relaxation due to his attire of a sleeveless shirt with a pair of sweatpants. I glanced down in a blush and chewed on lip.
"Kye?" He called.
I lifted my stare, followed with a heavy exhale from my chest. "Hi. I know we just left each other moments ago but I thought you and Yoongi may have been hungry so..." I stepped aside so the delivery guy could hand Taehyung the food, "...I ordered food for you two."
A soft gasp echoed from him. "Kye, this is sweet. We actually were just talking about getting a bite to eat."
I tipped the delivery and thanked him as he left. Turning to Taehyung, his smile still adorned his flawless face. "Well, enjoy your meal and I'm going back to my room."
"W-Wait. What about you?" Taehyung wondered.
"My food is my room waiting for me. So, I'm going to eat before it gets cold." I waved bye to him and made my way down the hall.
I could feel him watching me till I disappeared inside my room.
Morning had dawned in and I was happy to see the sun.
I'm surely going to miss Lanai. Horseback riding and the sunset was definitely memorable, not to mention being here in this exquisite place. I wish I'd took pictures but my photography skills are non existent.
Quick to my morning routine, I showered and dressed before making sure everything was packed for Yoongi to grab for our departure. I wonder if he will be accompanying us this time?
As I placed everything on the bed, a knock to the door drew my attention. I opened it to find Taehyung standing behind it, bright and radiant as always.
Is there ever a moment he doesn't smile?
"Good Morning! Ready to set sail?" He chimed.
"Good Morning and yes, just let me grab my bag." I turned with haste to get my things and took one final look out onto the balcony.
I smiled at the beauty of the morning.
Emitting the presence with a silent goodbye, I dismissed myself from the room and joined Taehyung who remained standing at the door before closing it behind me. We walked toward the elevator and waited. I caught Taehyung staring, looking as if he wanted to speak. His expressions sometimes mirrored his thoughts and I wish the words would seep through to his face as well.
The elevator door opened and I entered first, keeping my eyes on the ground as we descended down. Taehyung kept quiet but there were moments I still felt his stare on me.
We exited and ventured out of the resort. As expected, there was a car waiting for us. I glanced over to Taehyung and smiled before entering. A gasp escaped my lips as I felt him place his hand in mine.
I gulped as I turned to him.
Taehyung reached in his pocket and pulled out a familiar tiny packet. My heart raced as he moved closer to me and placed the patch behind my ear. The feeling of his fingertips to my skin was chilling. Our gazes connected as he eased away but he was still close.
"Thank you." I whispered. His caring nature is not something I'm sure I could be used to in full form. It was much easier to take on paper. However I'm grateful for both.
"We hadn't had breakfast yet and I don't want you getting sick before you we do." Taehyung's low voice spoke tender.
The chills has now escalated through my entire body.
I don't know why I get this way. It's just Taehyung.I nodded in agreement before stepping inside the car.
Sailing this time wasn't nearly as scary as the first.
I held onto Taehyung once but broke away as soon as I realized what I was doing, not that he minded anyway.
He was a perfect gentleman and teased me as the playful friend he was.
Leaning against the rail, I watched the ocean, enjoying the motion of it since the patch seems to work perfectly. Taehyung stood next to me.
"What are you thinking?" He asked.
I sighed. "Departure from Lanai. I really enjoyed our time there." I glanced at him and smiled.
Taehyung hid his shy smile. "That makes me happy to hear. We still have four days left so I hope you will enjoy the rest of our time here too."
"Of course I will. You insist on taking me on these adventures. What's next on your Hawaii bucket list?" I teased.
"Hmm...well I just wanted us to go out into the town. Maybe shop and grab a bite. You know, just normal things." Taehyung stated.
I could feel my expressions perk. "Just normal things, huh? You mean no parasailing today?"
Taehyung chuckled at me. "That's actually tomorrow."
My heart fell to my knees at the thought. "T-Tomorrow?"
Taehyung hugged me close as I peered up to him. "Don't worry Kye! It will be fun!" He grinned, glancing down at at me.
"Yeah...fun." I repeated in a less than excited tone.
