"So, what did you think?"
My gaze wandered around as I absorbed more of the atmosphere I centered. The music was soft and inviting, the ocean still hummed in the air, dinner was spectacular and Taehyung...
What did I ever do to deserve him as one of the best people in my life?
"I think that I may I want to move here some day?" I grinned.
Taehyung mirrored my reaction. "I've spoiled you haven't I?" He asked while taking a sip of his wine.
"Umm...I'd say that you have. It's only day three and I am married to this paradise. No courting necessary, You win. I surrender to you Taehyung."
A sudden eruption of coughing from my dinner companion interrupted the moment.
"Taehyung? Are you okay?" It startled me to a worry state.
He nodded as he began recover from the fit. "Y-Yeah. Just went down the wrong way I guess."
"Maybe you've had enough wine then." I teased as I took a final sip of my own.
Placing the empty glass away from my lips, my gaze then turned towards the piano as couples danced to the moonlit tunes. Taehyung followed my gaze.
"I believe I promised you dancing." He reminded as he stood up from his seat. He sauntered toward me and held out his hand.
My heart is shaking.
This is the worst for me.
A slow dance with my two left feet? Why does he want to embarrass me even more than I already am?
"Come on Kye or I will lift you by your legs and take you in my arms." Taehyung threatened.
Narrowing my stare to him, I took his hand and allowed him to lead me onto the dance floor.
Falling in the with the surrounding couples shielded my fear slightly but when I felt Taehyung's hands around my waist, that protection collapsed.
My heart shook ten times more.
He's looking down on me but kept my stare to his shirt while praying not to step on his feet or trip over my own.
"Why are you so tense Kye? You seemed fine a minute ago." His baritone oozed between us, making my stomach flutter.
I glanced up at him, his eyes smiling along with the one that framed his pearly whites.
"Is it because we're closer than usual?" He added, softly tightening his grip.
His warm hand covers me and held me as swayed to the mellow tunes. I felt his anticipation and an eagerness that glinted in his eyes once they caught mine.
My chest feels heavy as I try to breathe.
Why am I like this? It's just Taehyung.
I shook my head to him. "You know how I feel about dancing. I have crooked feet and you seem to do this very well."
"I can teach you." His voice barely above a whisper. "I can teach you a lot of things if you let me. I want you to overcome your fears."
He's said this so many times but why? Why is this so important to him?
"So you admit that I'm a pansy?"
Taehyung chuckled low between us. He finds humor in my suffering, though I'm probably making it more dramatic than it is. He made me laugh as well.
"I didn't say that. All I'm saying is that you're braver than you realize and you will prove that tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?" I gulped.
What now Taehyung? Are you making me jump from a cliff?
"Mmhmm...We are parasailing." He smiled.
I nodded slowly as the plans of our next day adventure sank in. "Parasailing? Well, at least we aren't cliffdiving."
"Would you do that?" His voice ascended.
"No!" I shouted lowly.
Taehyung threw his head back in a low laughter. "Easy Kye. I wouldn't do that to you, but I will do this..."
In an instant, Taehyung pushed himself away from before twirling me around in our space and bringing me back close to him.
My head is now spinning.
"Hmm...and you say that you can't dance. You did that quite naturally Kye."
"Only because I knew what you were going to do."
Taehyung's stare grew heavy as he whispered a phrase in his native language. The words flowed slow from his lips, thick in his murmur.
I think he wanted me to understand what he was saying.
My Korean wasn't the best but I learned some for him. I was always better at recognizing than speaking but I'm pretty sure I understood what he said.
He smiled afterwards and held me tighter to him.
I'm not even sure if I have a heart anymore. I think it has grown tired of beating and croaked.
Our gazes never left each other and my eyes began to flutter. Breathing was also becoming a feat as it's picked up pace.
Taehyung's stare wandered mine as he tongue played a quick game of peek a boo between his lips.
Are my eyes playing tricks on me? Is he leaning in closer, again?
Our foreheads touched and my gaze closed briefly before falling to his lips.
What is happening?
"Are you ready to go?" His voice remained hung in a low whisper.
My head swam with so many thoughts and feelings that it left me mute. I only nodded as a reply.
With my hand in his, he lead me away from the dance floor and toward a car that was waiting.
"You go back to the house. I have to take care of some things, okay?"
"Okay."
Taehyung leaned in and kissed me on my cheek. It was a slow peck that lingered on face as well as my thoughts.
He opened the door for me and I got in. It felt unusual for some reason to not have him next to me. I wonder what he has to do?
