Jordan woke up, still outside on the lounger, with Donnie shaking him by his shoulder, "Jordan, hey man wake the fuck up. Jordan WAKE UP!!" Jordan finally stirred, his head was pounding. Fuck how much whiskey did I drink last night? And why am I on the patio?

"Donnie, quit yelling for fucks sake. My head is killing me man. Did you just get here? Who let you in the gate?"

"Well good morning to you too my friend. I thought you asked me to come out here?" Donnie asked him, looking a little upset by Jordan's tone of voice.

"Yes Donnie I wanted you to come out, I just forgot to tell them at the gate you were coming. They shouldn't let anyone in without talking to me first. It makes the gate kind of worthless. Thanks for coming out, it's good to see you. Hey did you bring those letters? I need to get them to the cops."

Donnie picked up the almost empty bottle of Jameson and looked at Jordan. Jordan just shrugged, "Don't judge Donnie. I just lost my wife. I think I deserved a night of drinking."

Hearing Jordan say that he'd lost his wife worried Donnie, "Jordan, don't say that man, we'll find her and bring her home. You haven't lost her."

"Oh come on Donnie, this maniac tried to kill her and failed. She put him away. Now somehow he's out and he's taken the opportunity to grab her. You should have seen the video of him going after her. He chased her down and he hit her so fucking hard. There's no way he's just wanting to take her, he wants to hurt her, if not kill her. No one even seemed to know he was out of prison, I mean shouldn't Vivian have been notified of his release or escape?"

"Well we need to get to the police station and see if they have any updates. Go shower and we'll head over there." Jordan nods his head at Donnie and goes into his bedroom. He stops when he sees Vivian's suitcase sitting on their bed.  He opens it up, and pulls out her favorite cardigan that she wears whenever she sits around the house. He brings it up to his nose and takes a big whiff of it. It smells like her. Her wonderful, amazing scent. He sits there for what seems like a few minutes, but when Donnie comes into the room to check on him, he says "Hey Jordan, you ready yet? You haven't showered yet?" Jordan realizes he's been sitting there a lot longer than he has time to.

"Fuck, no, sorry man, I got distracted. I'll get in there now." He lays her cardigan on the bed and goes into the bathroom.  Jordan removes his clothes and turns on the water. He steps into the shower and the feel of the hot water running over his naked body feels good. Wakes him up, clears his head a bit. He starts to think straight again. By the time he gets out of the shower he's determined to get out there and do whatever he has to do to find his wife. He gets dressed and takes a photo of Vivian out of a frame to take to the police. He meets up with Donnie in the kitchen. Donnie's on the phone with Angie when he walks into the room. He quickly says goodbye and hangs up his phone.

"You didn't have to get off the phone on my account.  I'm feeling better, and I'm ready to go find my wife. Did Ang say anything about Lex and Layla? Has she seen them? God I miss them." Tears begin to well in his eyes at the mention of his kids.

"I'm sure they miss you too. But right now they don't know there is anything wrong, so we need to get to the station and talk to the officers. Find out what's going on. Hopefully we can get her back before the kids ever have to know she's gone."

Jordan knows he's right, but he needs to make two phone calls before they go. First he calls his manager and cancels his tour. There's no way he's going back on the road,  even after Vivian is brought back home. He'll never leave her side again. His manger understands but isn't sure the repercussions they will face for canceling the whole tour. Jordan doesn't care though. He says he'll make a statement to the fans after he talks to the police. Second he calls Mary. He asks her if there are anymore letters for Vivian.  He fills her in on what has happened and Mary is shocked. She says there are some letters, he tells her he'll stop by on his way to the police station.

They finally leave the house. By the time they pick up the letters and make it to the station it's almost noon.  Jordan and Donnie are asked to sit down and wait while they call Detective Jones. While they wait, Jordan and Donnie read through the latest batch of letters.  They aren't much different from all the other ones. Until they get to the last couple. The mention of "their time to be together is coming" and how he "can't wait to see her again".

Jordan looks up and sees Orlando coming from the back with a man dressed in a suit and tie, Jordan guesses that must be the detective he's waiting for.  He feels a little annoyed to see Orlando there. He knew he had a thing for his wife. Jordan stands and meets Orlando as he walks towards him. "Orlando, how are you this morning?"

"I'm good Jordan.  This is Detective Jones,  he's been assigned to Vivian's case. Detective Jones this is Jordan Knight."

Detective Jones sticks his hand out to Jordan. "Good morning Mr. Knight."

Jordan shakes the detectives hand. "Its good to meet you, is there anything you can tell me? I need an update, I need to hear something good. What's being done to find my wife? I brought you some letters she had been recieving the last few months.  I also brought you a recent picture of my wife."

Detective Jones looks down at the stack of letters and the picture. He wasn't expecting Jordan to bring this stuff in without having to be asked, "Let's go talk in my office. We found out a few things about Jason Smith I think you'll want to hear. I'll also need to get your contact information so we can get in touch with you when you leave. You're on tour right now aren't you?"

"I was, but I canceled my tour this morning.  Even after we find her I won't be leaving her side again." They walk back to the detectives office, once inside, Detective Jones tells Jordan that they did get some information on Jason. He had been released early on parole.  He was part of a work release program and he got some good time, this apparently caused him to receive parole his first chance at it. He'd been released five days ago. Jordan thought about why Vivian was in California to begin with when filming was supposed be in Boston. "You know someone called in a threat to the film crew in Boston so they had to come out to film here. Vivian wasn't even supposed to be in California right now. He had this planned. That son of a bitch. He better hope you catch him before I do."
