One year later
Everything is finally back to normal. Jordan's realtor never found them anything in Brentwood. She did however find a beautiful home in San Marino, with a place to build his own recording studio.
Vivian and Orlando's divorce was finalized six months earlier. And five and a half months earlier Vivian and Jordan remarried in a small ceremony at city hall. It was just Jordan, Vivian, Lexington and Layla in attendance.
Jordan's new album is doing great. His next tour is in the works to begin this summer. Vivian will be joining him on this tour. Lex and Layla will be with them for the first month of the tour. But will have to return home so Lex can attend football camp and Layla got a small recurring role on a new CW series. They begin filming this summer. Orlando has offered for them to stay with him while Vivian and Jordan spend some time alone on tour.
Jordan and Vivian trust Orlando to keep an eye on the kids while they're gone. Jordan especially wants him to be present on set with Layla. She's never been a part of the entertainment industry and Jordan doesn't want her to get taken advantage of. Orlando is still very much a protective "step-father" to the twins.
Over the last year, Jordan and Orlando have become very close friends. Jordan never thought that would have been possible, but its happened. Maggie has also become an important part of their extended family. She and Orlando got married four months earlier. Vivian was the "best man" and Jordan sang their wedding music. And in about six months Orlando and Maggie will welcome their first child into this blended family of theirs.
Vivian finally finished her book. She's extremely proud of how it turned out. And she's begun writing her next book already. This time she's writing a Nonfiction about her and Jordan's real journey. It will cover it all, even her abuse and survival. Jordan encouraged her to do this to give others hope that no matter where life takes you, you can always end up right where you're suppose to, as long as you fight and never give up.
This was the life Jordan had always dreamed of for himself. Married to his one and only true love. Raising two amazing kids together. Living their best lives. Together. He was a famous musician, she was a top selling author. They'd gone through their share of ups and downs. Twice he'd lost her. Twice she'd had to make the hard decision to leave him. Once for him, once for herself. But they'd found their way back to each other. They were stronger because of all they'd been through. Jordan couldn't imagine changing anything that had brought them to this life. Except maybe one thing, if he could remove Jason from ever hurting her he would. But even those tragedies had made them both who they were.
As Jordan and Vivian planned out the next chapter of their life together they couldn't have been happier. Life was exactly how it was supposed to be. Jordan had always wanted Vivian to come on tour with him. But before now, they either weren't together for his first few tours. Then she got hurt when he went on his first tour after they had gotten married. And again, they weren't together when he went on his next two tours.
Jordan was ecstatic about Vivian finally coming on tour with him. She'd only seen him perform twice. Now she was going to get to see him perform every night.
The first night of the tour is exciting for all of them. The kids love seeing their dad perform just as much as Vivian does. It's been such a long time since Vivian attended one of his shows.
Vivian and the kids didn't go with Jordan when he left for the tour. Vivian had to tie up some loose ends before flying up to Seattle with Lex and Layla. Vivian made sure they arrive at the venue in time for soundcheck. They make it just in time. Seeing Jordan on the stage sends Vivian's heart into overdrive. God it's been so long since she's seen him perform. He sounds great. He looks even better. Vivian feels like she's seventeen again, sitting on a beach, mesmerized by the handsome boy singing to her. Vivian mouths "I love you" to him. He winks and blows her a kiss.
Jordan stops singing and tells his band to play "the new one". They begin playing a song Vivian's never heard. Jordan says, "This one's for my beautiful wife. Vivian I'd planned on doing this tonight, but I can't wait."
"I still get lost, caught in a daze,
Tongue tied, just like the very first dayI saw you and I'm so amazed
'Cause the look that got me twisted still hasn't changedYour sexy eyes never lie,
Baby, I lose myself (when they open)
Girl, forget about goin' out
Baby, I'd rather not (so, I'm hoping)I could just stare at you forever (oh, baby)
I can be here with you doing whatever (my lady)
It's not the way you look that brings me to my knees,
It's the way you look at me
I could just stare at you forever
If forever you were staring at me"Vivian is overwhelmed with such happiness. When Jordan finishes the song he comes off the stage and takes Vivian in his arms. Their life together was back where it was supposed to be. Neither of them would have ever thought they could fall more in love than they had that first summer, but today they were. Today they were so much more in love than they ever had been. And it was only going to get better.
The End
