When Jordan sees headlights through the front window, he jumps up and pulls the curtain back. It's them. They're finally back. He sees Vivian lean over the console and hug Orlando. He says something to her, they say their goodbyes. Jordan walked away from the window when she leaned over the console. He wasn't sure what he was afraid of seeing. He just felt like he was intruding on them, or something.

Jordan wasn't sure how to feel about his Vivian being close to a man like Orlando. He wanted to trust her, and for the most part he did. But she wasn't acting like herself since she got back. He tried to tell himself it had only been a couple of days, but she seemed to think Jordan should just pretend like nothing had happened. How could he do that? How could be just pretend like she hadn't been taken away from him? Or that she hadn't almost been lost to him forever? It was killing him, he'd let it happen, and she wanted him to act like it hadn't. He wished he could forget. But he didn't think he ever would.

He sat on the couch, put his head down and prayed. Prayed he could do what she wanted, prayed he could give her what she needed, and prayed the woman he loved more than his own life would come back to him.

When Vivian walked through the door, he put all his worries away and tried to just be happy they were together.

"Hey babe, how was your meeting?"

Vivian was surprised he wasn't angry with her for staying out so long. "It was good. We'll start filming in Boston again next week. So we have a week to spend together with no distractions when we get home." She sat next to him on the couch and laid her head on his shoulder. "Does that sound okay to you?"

He exhaled, "That sounds absolutely wonderful my love. Can you be ready to leave in the morning? Our flight leaves at nine. But we can change it if you need more time."

"No that sounds perfect. I never unpacked when I got here, so my bag should already be ready to go. When we get home, before filming starts, we need to talk."

Jordan feels dread in his heart. He hates hearing "we need to talk". It seems so ominous. "Okay, we don't have to wait, we can talk now."

"Not tonight, I want to go to bed with my husband and get a good night's rest before our journey home."

"Is it bad enough that it would keep us from getting a good night's rest? You know what, its okay. It'll wait, we'll talk one day after we get home. Let's go to bed. Tomorrow's going to be a long day." He stands and reaches for her hand. She puts her hand in his and he pulls her to him. He wraps his arms around her. He hugs her tight. He releases her and places a soft kiss on her supple lips. As he turns to lead her to their bedroom, she pulls him back to her. "I love you so much J." She grabs his shirt in her good hand and pulls him to her. She kisses him passionately. "I love you too Viv." They go to bed and hold each other all night. Waking up in each other's arms the next morning feels like a fresh new start for them. They both hope it stays like this when they get home.

The trip home was tiring. It made for an extremely long day. All Vivian wants to do is rest. She's tired and her arm and hand are throbbing. She wants to take a pain pill and go to sleep. Which is exactly what she plans to do. Only, Jordan's family has made them a huge meal and is waiting for them at their house. It pisses Vivian off when she sees all the cars parked outside their house. "What is everyone doing at our house Jordan?"

"Its supposed to be a surprise" he says as a huge smile spreads spread across his face. She doesn't smile back. "Jordan I'm so tired and my fucking arm is killing me. I'm not feeling up to a bunch of company."

He looks disappointed, "Well babe it's not always about what you want. Our families wanted to do this. So I told them they could. I'm not telling my mom to leave now. So if you're not feeling up to it, just say hi to everyone and tell them you're tired and need to take a nap after the long trip, it'll be okay." She just says okay and that's exactly what she plans to do.

The families went all out, balloons, streamers, lights. "Its a bit much don't you think?" Jordan is starting to get upset, but he's trying to keep his cool. The kids are in the backseat still. Once they have parked in the driveway, Jordan tells the kids to ahead and go in the house. Once they are out of sight Jordan turns to Vivian. "Can't you just pretend to be excited? I know my family went overboard with the decorations, but the kids love this kind of shit. So if it makes them happy, just let it go. It's their birthday after all."

Vivian's head quickly turns to look at him, "Oh my God, I completely forgot. Fuck I'm such a terrible mother, how could I forget their birthday? God, they must hate me. I haven't even told them Happy Birthday yet. Jordan every year for the past 8 years I've woken them up bright and early to tell them happy birthday. I missed it this year. How could I have forgotten?" Tears begin to fall as she cries uncontrollably. Jordan rushes around to her side of the car. He pulls open her door. He picks her up enough to get underneath her and he holds her on his lap. She cries against his chest. Jordan strokes her hair and tells her it's okay. He whispers to her that it's all okay. "Viv, they do not hate you. They love you very much. They asked me if we could skip their birthday this year because you weren't feeling good. Sweetheart we raised amazing little humans. They said they just wanted you to get better and then we could go play Skee-ball together. They love you babe."

She sniffled and wiped her face. "Did they really say that?"

"Yes, I swear. But since we're here and there's a party, how would you feel about going inside and having some cake before you lay down?"

"That sounds perfect J. I'm so sorry I'm not myself. I'm trying to get back to me, I promise."

"Its okay my love. We all understand. Take however much time you need. I'm not going anywhere."
