Suspicion (Peter Parker)

Request: Hello can you do an imagine where peter and the read date and do everything thing together until peter starts to become more and secretive because of well he being Spider-Man. The reader begins to think that he is cheating on her because he got bored or something. Requested by anon.

You and Peter have been best friends since childhood. You started dating at 14. you did everything together. You hid nothing from one another and people envied your relationship. All of this suddenly stopped when Peter became distant. He used to call you everyday and see you after school almost everyday as well. Now you'd be lucky if you saw him once a week, on weekends. He called you a couple of times a week, but made the phone-calls short. You thought that he didn't want to be in a relationship with you anymore, because both of you are still young and started dating when you were technically kids. But now you were growing up, he must have felt like he needed to explore things, to see other people. You loved Peter with all your heart, but you hated the way he's been lying to you. You knew he was hiding something, but didn't know what. One day, you decided to go to his house and when you knocked, May told you he was at Ned's house. So you went there. You and Ned are also close friends so you didn't need to call first.

When you arrived, he told you he hasn't seen Peter in days and that he hasn't called him either. He also noticed that he's been distant and sensed that he's keeping something. You called him and when you were about to give up after the 10th time, he finally answered.

"hey y/n, I'm kinda busy at the moment. I have an exam tomorrow and I'm studying right now, can I call you later?" he lied and at that moment you thought he's cheating on you.

Days have passed and you stopped asking about him, but clearly he didn't notice, 'cause he still didn't call you like he promised.

You called him and told him you need to see him and that it's urgent and you need to talk.

He sensed the coldness in your voice and was worried. When you finally saw him after a long time he was about to greet you with a kiss on the lips, but you turned to the side and he kissed your cheek.

"hey, what's wrong baby?" he asked.

"I don't know, why don't you tell me?".

"tell you what?".

"what you've been up to the last couple of months".

"nothing. Why would you think that?".

"you know we've been best friends since childhood. You never lied to me and I know when you're lying and you definitely are right now. If you wanted to break up with me, you could've said something, instead of cheating on my and stabbing me in the back" you tried to hold off the tears.

"what are you talking about? Y/n, baby I'm not cheating on you. I love you, I'd never hurt you like that. Why would you think that?" he reassured you.

"well I don't know. Maybe 'cause you've been avoiding my calls. Making our phone calls shorter and not even calling me. I barely see you now a days. You lie to me and say you're studying when you're not. So what other explanation could there be?".

"Okay, okay. I admit I haven;t been honest with you, but I swear it's nothing like that. Can you promise to keep a secret?".

"when have I ever not kept your secrets?"

"I'm spider man" he informed you.

"what?" you were surprised and didn't expect that.

"that's why I've been very secretive lately. I help fight crimes and that's why I don't answer sometimes and say I'm studying and don't see you very often. I'm sorry, I didn't realize how much that affected you. How distant I was. Time passes differently when I fight bad guys, but I promise I'll make it up to you. Please forgive me" he apologized.

"alright, but I'll forgive you just because you're spider man and he happens to be my favorite superhero" you smiled and he kissed you.
