it's was 8 pm, i awakened and the first thing i heard was my stomach desperately growling for food. understandable, i haven't eaten anything the whole day... same goes to yukhei. did he possibly find food in here?

"yukhei?" i called out, standing up and grabbing my aching forehead. "yukhei are you done recording?" i asked, but i had a feeling that he wasn't around. he would be answering me right after a millisecond when i called for his name, but there was no response.

it was too quiet in here, i disliked it. something was definitely wrong, and i could slowly puzzle it together which caused my eyes to enlarge.

realizing the reason why he was dressed up with a weapon earlier, made me notice that he was heading out for food.

i didn't even pondered, or thought about how risky it was to leave the house to search after him. i still did it because i was too frantic that i wouldn't see him ever again, so i desperately opened the door, stepping out and joining the dark and dangerous night. i had to find him, i know he would be back before dark, but he was no where to be spotted.

now that i stood outside, i saw a hard wooden bat laying on the porch. i grabbed it firmly and took a deep breath.

i had courage enough to explore this chaos all by myself, if it was looking after yukhei, then i could. plus, staying there isn't a good idea anyway. either stay and starve to death, or go out and at least try to find food and survive. we all know which choice was smarter.

i began to walk, my legs trembling and i actually considered to go back and change clothes... but sticking with my dwight uniform was fine. my skirt was actually a bit short, so i pulled it down till it reached above my knee. i tightened my pony tail and did the same with my grip on the bat.

the street was even worse than before, all cars were crashed and tumbled around. the smell flowing in the air was awfully smelly and rotten, expectedly because of the dead bodies laying on the floor that was circled with a pool of blood. the scary part was, you may never know if they're still alive or not.

as i continued walking that felt like an eternity, i felt so lucky for not spotting any of the infected. but i was a bit bummed that i couldn't find a vehicle to use, all of them were broken with flat wheels.

why was i even thinking of finding a car? i don't even know how to drive, i didn't past my driving lessons after crashing it into a pole. yikes, what a tragic.

i was about to make a plan b, but when i saw a grocery store, my eyes flickered and widened. i couldn't tell how gleeful i was, knowing that there was food there, i felt satisfied with the decision i made, by leaving the house. possibly yukhei could be here too!

i sneakily jogged my way to the grocery store, stepping in, the broken glass door slid open after feeling my presence. when i entered, it was also a chaos. lights were blinking, shelves were pushed off and groceries were laying on the floor along with dead bodies.

i exhaled and tried to avoid looking at the bodies, as much as i love horror movies, i was a bit relaxed about the situation, but thinking that it was reality made me weak.

i began to roam around, desperately trying to find one single edible thing to eat, but it seemed like the other survivors have already taken them away. i felt so sad that i just wanted to scream, but of course i wouldn't do that.

during my small walk around the store, i began to hear heavy footsteps from behind which made me curiously turn my heel around. i thought it was yukhei, that's why i had a small smile on my lips, but spinning around and seeing who it actually was made me gasp with aghast.

of course it was a monster, one of the infected.

it was a woman, her pitch black hair was flowing in the air since the speed of her sprint made it fly from left to right. she was growling and had her target, me. i couldn't even manage to react and run when she already flung herself on me, sitting on my stomach while i tried to squirm away from her. i looked up at her face and started to get teary eyes.

her face was messed up, just like the others. everything about it was horrible.

she tried to let her drooling mouth connect with my neck, forcibly reaching out for my skin but i was strong enough to push her back. trying to push with all my power, she was still as strong as me that she remained on her position.

at this point i had no idea what to do, we could sit here for a year and wouldn't get to see who'll survive.

but at the same time, i felt like this was the end... until.

a bullet punched through its forehead, crimson blood dripped down. her heavy body fell on top of me and i let out a whimper. the gunshot was still deafening in my ears, i shut my eyes tightly and tried to prevent the endless eerie siren playing in my ears. at the same time, i pushed off the body from me and looked up... only to see a boy standing with a gun on his hand.

"are you okay?" he offered his hand and leaned down to me, making his face clearer to see.

i thought it was impossible to see another handsome human being, but there he stood with his face... adorable face i would say. his cute bowl cut hair made him extra cute. 

i felt stupid for thinking about his cuteness, instead of his caring heart because he decided to help me.

"we have to hurry, there are more walkers behind you!" he explained, but i was still horrifyingly dazed about the gunshot, it made it worse because the blood splattered on my clothes and especially my face.

there was another boy standing behind him, he stood while shooting more of the monsters that was running behind us. "hurry hyung!" he screamed, angry rather than worried.

"let's go." he said.

"but i am searching for my friend..." i reasoned.

"fucking leave her if she doesn't wants to come!" the younger yelled viciously, his nostrils flaring and impatience overflowing his tone.

the boy with blonde hair didn't even hesitate to just grab and drag me with, his grip on my wrist was hurting, but i knew he was just trying to save my life. "there are too many walkers, you wouldn't survive if you try saving your friend.. i'm sorry." he explained.

i understood what he said and began to ran with them.

we exited the grocery store and i followed their tracks as they lead me to their hideout.

note: so in this book they'll call the zombies, walkers just like in twd hehe :) and i was actually inspired by twd game and that game called dangerous fellows or sumn lol.
