soyoung

after we got someone who was actually amazing at cooking, he was in charged with food and decided to make food outside instead of in the classroom because it was too risky we could possibly burn the school down. it was nice thinking, we have never thought of it. we also nicely placed benches with tables by the cooking area, it was like a dinner table for families because it was long and everytime we would eat and feast.... it felt like we were all a family.

"this soup is so good!" chenle complimented kun, kun being too used to all the compliments, he just shrugged with a confident smile.

"luckily it's not salad." yangyang started, making the cook scoff. "hey hey, don't be picky yangyang. salad taste good, especially because all the vegetables we grow in the greenhouse are always fresh and healthy. plus, you need to have good health too, especially during this apocalypse."

"must admit... i kinda hate vegetables." somin rose her hand, afterwards stuffing the spo0n with soup inside her mouth.

"maybe i can make fruit salad then-"

"don't even... just don't." ten cut kun off, hissing and placing a grimace look on his face.

after that, everyone slowly were divided in groups of talking, everyone was talkimg but not all together at once.

what really melted my heart was how they were even slowly getting along with the boys from dulwich. i have to mention chenle ans felix, i can tell they are getting closer and close which is heart melting.

"so, hyunjin is your name right? well my name is-"

"i don't give a fuck." hyunjin directly spat, dahye not caring and continuously clinged and flirtes to the poor boy. "taeyong please lock me up again." hyunjin sarcastically said, trying to scoot away from the girl as somim sat, annoyed at the two.

i could tell somin was uncomfortable seeing hyunjin, i mean like he did shoot her which why somin didn't hesitate to not give him any trust.

"hey." i heard someone call out, i looked forward and saw donghyuck, gulping. "hey." i greeted back with a smile, placing my spoon inside the bowl and putting my attention on him.

"you know i am glad that this happened to our hideout, i can't believe those moron.." he pointed at chenle and jisung. "are actually still alive, i am so happy for everything now and that is kinda all thanks to you." he warmly smiled, earning a small chortle from me.

"shouldn't you be thanking chan? if i wasn't kidnapped then you wouldn't have seen those two kids." chan gazed at me, a bit worried about what i said and flashed an awkward grin. "uh...." he awkwardly said, scratching his nape.

"thank you chan!" yukhei exclaimed with his deep and loud voice. "if you didn't kidnap soyoung i wouldn't have seen her ever again! oh my god! yeorobun, i am happy she is here now!" yukhei who sat beside wrappes his long arm around my shoulder, pulling me close to him before ruffling my hair.

"tss." taeyong found our conversation very pathetic, i knew the kidnap chan had set up angered him so it was best for him to stop listening, that's why he turned around and talked to others.

"um, i guess thank you?" donghyuck gave chan a blank face.

i laughed. "how funny, remember how you dreadfully wanted me out of this hideout? pff, and now you are happy for all this? that is thanks to me! right?" i cocked an eyebrow, wiggling and felt more eager to tease hyuck after seeing his cheeks helplessly turn red.

"i seriously don't want to remember anything of that, please.... i feel horrible." he muttered, mark deafening us with his pierced laugh. "i know exactly WHY he did it!" mark smirked.

doyoung scoffed. "and how was it even possible for you to have feelings for soyoung, after all you did was hurt her and be such a dick to her?"

"that is like the whole point!" mark screamed, slamming his fist on the table, all our bowls slightly bouncing up. "you guys are so stupid haha!"

"what do you mean?" i asked.

"he was being a dick to you, so it wouldn't be obvious that he kind of liked you." mark snickered a small laugh, covering his mouth and watching everyone's reaction, especially me because he had his eyes directly staring at mine.

"oh..." i said. donghyuck's face turned all red and faced mark to glower him down.

"wah, this is why you are too young for love. you have no idea how to work things out." doyoung rolled his eyes, crossing his arms.

"at least he doesn't flirt that it kinda scares the girl out." jaehyun teased, doyoung miserably blushing and gazing at me who was softly laughing. jaehyun was correct, doyoung was charming and all but when he was flirting, he sometimes gets too near it kind of scares me.

why do they like me? i don't deserve them at all.

"you wanna know why donghyuck started liking you-"

"maybe let donghyuck explain, i would like to see him all flustered and blushy while talking about it." yuta devilishly smirked, impatiently waiting for the silver haired boy to start speaking.

"uh... well.." donghyuck paused. "because.... well, you sometimes start defending yourself when i'm too much, but what i have noticed is that... i like how you proceed to try gaining my trust, to try getting along with me even though i was being a jerk. i felt touched that you never gave up.... which why i kinda got the feelings i shouldn't have." it was odd, so weird to see donghyuck like this... not cursing every second, not being aggressive, not saying something rude and just saying words that were unexpectedly melting.

"sweet, but immature." doyoung scoffed. "you could have won her heart if you weren't so stupid."

donghyuck didn't feel offended, all he felt was the embarrassment wrapping around his entire body. "thank you donghyuck...." i said, frankly not knowing what else to say which also made me feel awkward.

"well since none of you guys know how to actually impress soyoung, i ended up having her." taeyong squeezed in our conversation, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and pulling me to place a small kiss on my head. doyoung and donghyuck blankly sitting and staring at each other, finding it annoying when taeyong was being proud of himself.

jungwoo giggled. "good thing i brought her here right?"

"indeed." donghyuck muttered.

we all smiled before continuing to eat the soup kun made.

i wish things would go well, i wish chan and hyunjin actually keep their promise about accepting the chance we gave them instead of kicking them out. i wish nothing bad will happen, i really hope that no one gets harmed or bitten but at the end we always end like that. for now all i want is this, the peace we have to each other.

i never really expected this, i thought i would die when i came out to search for yukhei but here i am. i could never be more satisfied.
